The fact there is a lot of long threads about this subject, tells me there is a different reality than the one you want to believe. However I do understand why you would want to bury the subject. And as I have said earlier somewhere on these boards, I personally have no axe to grind with Max, he is a great driver, and he laid his mark as an aggressive driver, and continues to be one, I have always maintained way back he will be the one to take the challenge to Lewis, and the racing gods tipped the scales in his favour in the final shoot out this time, ok no problem. And so I really don't get how anyone can get so worked up about a sport to the point of hating drivers, afterall it is a sport we all supposedly like to watch, the problem here lies as usual with how the rules were applied. You are clearly barking up the wrong tree, if you think I hate drivers or I am in some Hamilton cult ect I have no problem with regards to folks with opposing opinions about the driver in question, simply put we have our opinions for and against, and sure they can be passionate but I have no room for hate in mine. Well stated. I keep reading that most folks on here recognize Max as a deserving champion and all of the criticism is at the siht show created by Masi and his decisions. That has garnered responses about "woke", "Lulu", "dresses" and other 'in-your-face' stuff that seems defensive for no reason. People questioning the legitimacy of the way the race was directed is valid. I mean, there are still daily stories being written about it beyond FChat, and many of them in far more critical and conspiratorial fashion. ktu and Terra have been the most vocal supporters of Lewis, and yet neither is attacking Max as being 'unworthy' (although I'm guessing if they are it's due to some of the more inflammatory battles with certain posters). Let's put the season behind us and look forward to next season, which will hopefully include the two protagonists of this season in competitive cars, joined by Leclerc in the Ferrari (yes, Sainz too, but I think Charles is the guy you want fighting Max and Lewis)
That to me is the punchline here. There is a new championship starting in less than 3 months' time, so let's concentrate on that. Perhapst the "new" formula will bring the much needed reshuffle of the pack.
