Exactly. You could say Max had a race mentality advantage, (for want of a better word), knowing that. Lewis basically needed to run and hide and stay up front, it was going to plan until the SC scuppered it, the rest is history.
And that somewhat ties in with, Lewis lost too much ground to Max earlier on in the season, as in always being on the catch up towards the end, and thus putting him on his back foot in the final race.

    Happy Hols mate.

Mercedes is the most dominant team in the history of F1. They will certainly be one of the top(2) teams in 2022. Lewis will finish his career at Mercedes in either 2022 or 2023 depending upon the outcome.

Only if you consider driving someone off the road "fair".

    Bingo!

And when you look at some other title fights that went to the last race, they were often decided similarly. I remember the Las Vegas finale (shambles) with IIRC 3 protagonists, but truly only one guy with a real chance. Then there is Massa vs Lewis which again was an outside chance for Massa. There are many more. Sadly my hero Irvine comes to mind as well. You win or lose the title before the last race. The last race is basically going to the casino.

    "Dangerous driving man!!" [Lewis quote]

Max had the racing line at over 180mph. Lewis ran wide coming out of Copse whom didn't have the racing line and ran shallow hitting the apex.

Rubbish, Max knew Hamilton was alongside but decided to turn in and hope Hamilton pulled out, he didn't and they collided.

There's 2 sides to that coin.....Lewis should have pulled out knowing full well Max was going to turn in at Copse at the apex.

If anyone gets their car ahead of Lewis in a turn, Lewis call it "dangerous driving." Nico was the only other driver that got away with it in the past 7 years.

Why should he, he is entitled to space but Verstappen as usual doesn't seem to think that when he races.

Here's another vid with Kimi and Bottas....similar to Max and Lewis but at a slower corner.....Kimi was at fault.

IMO this video shows it best...same race etc:
HAMILTON Overtakes vs. VERSTAPPEN and LECLERC COMPARISON - F1 Silverstone 2021 - YouTube

Hamilton clearly missed the apex on the Verstappen attempt, yet with Leclerc he made it stick. He could've overtaken Max still had he actually lifted a car length earlier. Lewis took his beloved Senna approach (and played innocent after).

Difference is Charles used his brain and didn't turn in like nobody was there.

They aren't robots, they don't use the same line every lap.

Verstappen didn't have the awareness to give enough space, it cost him a lot of points.

You can clearly see Lewis running wide on the first attempt. 2nd attempt he's actually where he's supposed to be.

Again, drivers aren't robots and don't use the same line lap after lap.

I'd hate you to see proper understeer if that's what you're calling it, at the and of the day Verstappen turned in like Hamilton wasn't there and it bit him hard.

He only got that far ahead because he acted like Hamilton wasn't there and decided to turn in regardless, the overspeed ensured his rear wheel collided with Hamilton's front wheel.
