They sell for Kidston Miura book prices now. I was quoted a price of 6000 USD for a copy of the Owners Edition a year ago.

As "limited" as 1,947 copies can be ...

Would be interesting to know how many copies Delius Klasing usually prints of a book. I don't think they do more than 2,000 or 3,000 copies of each book. So, the term "limited" gets relative. All the more as expensive books by nature do not sell as many copies as average books do. So, the market limits the number, not the publisher's choice.

    Don't get me started;-)

Gunther: "Ztrikly between you and me my real day job is chief photographer for ze German medical examiner in charge of murder autopsies, my favorrrit eez ze muerders where ze victim got zer zkull bashed in, zat ees zo koool ja! And if I can photograph while zee blood still shines eet ees zee ultimate! I lov ze reflektions on ze brain matter and skull pieces, ach zoo beautiful Ja! Also when ze jaws they are smeshed and rearranged I feel like I get photo angles that Dali and Vasarely would approve, zey would zay I am a great talent Ja!
Alzo ze way the steel slab shows ze Korpz's shape ees what makes me fotograf ze Ferraris with ze mirroring puddle, zame effekt.
Zo when I fotograph ze car I try to make it as beautifool as ze korpse, zank you I know I am ze genious Ja!

Annnnyway end of spoof, written in jest, as a ribbing tease and not in any way as an insult. I respect Gunther, I collaborated with him back in the late 90's, wrote a 333SP article for the Ferrari of Germany magazine he edited and during a Cavallino classic when he was a guest of Preston Henn we borrowed a dinghy from Preston and went to dinner at a local restaurant off the Intracoastal. He is certainly talented but I don't agree or like that photography however I respect it and his succcess; to each his own.

And I too thought I was the only one who felt that way... Much of his photography makes me feel like I am staring directly at the sun. Kind of like touching a hot stove in childhood, it produces an almost instinctual recoil.

Plenty of sample images from this book can be found at the link here:

I'm sure you already know the individual 330 LMB chassis are covered in the Pourret/Bluemel and Anthony Pritchard 250 GTO books.

Yes, and the GTO64s were covered in other books, yet we have a fine new book with a lot more information. That’s what I’m suggesting for the LMBs.

It worked that way for me. The total using the code came out to $112.45 ($97.50 for the book plus $14.95 for S/H)...

Interesting that you were able to get the discount on the special edition. The Octane website says that the discount doesn't apply to the special edition, and I just tried starting checkout and it doesn't work. I wanted the regular edition anyway, and the code worked for me even before I input my email.
