Beautiful car Gary. Was the dash originally black? Looks great. Is this in San Diego? How are the seat bolsters? How’s the front plate attached and can it be removed or is it a permanent drilled mount?

 

Issues with this listing include: sparse description, too few photos, photos not hi-res enough, what was included in the recent service, FULL service records availability not mentioned, how many owners, California title and smog status, etc. Also seller is not replying to Q's. Seller should always show pics of all service records. Look at how listings are conducted at BaT.

 

Seller not responding is bad red flag.

 

Hi Joe, Sometimes the seller is traveling out of the Country, with out access to respond to F Chat members immediately. Is that OK with you? Red flag? We've been in business for over 43 years, and have sold well over 1,500 Ferrari's, during that time and typically service over 400 Ferrari's a year.

The car has a clear California title, and has just passed California smog with ease. Regarding the recent service, remove motor, replace all cam seals, replace cam seal O rings, adjust valves, replace distributor seals, replace front crank seal, replace clutch slave, replace all fluids and filters, replace spark plugs, replace/ repair ignition wires as necessary, replace fuel filters, replace air filter, replace shift shaft seal, replace fuel transfer hoses, install motor, replace tires, replace battery, light check, alignment check,adjust fuel injection, balance and mixtures, check for smog and adjust if necessary, road test, test all systems and car functions. This is a typical FULL service at Bobileff Motorcar Company. This car also had a black dash from new. The car is at my business in San Diego, and the driver's seat bolster leather has been replaced, with a perfect color match. I think that should answer all your questions.

Yeah the “red flag” comment was unfortunate and IMO premature especially regarding a well-known seller.

 

Not sure if FerrariChat limits the number or quality of photos, but these are relatively small lo-res images even when clicked and one cannot see the flaws very clearly - and with that sort of mileage there are flaws - and flaws are OK - but the buyer must be able to see the flaws to make an investment assessment. I do apologize if my directness offended.

 

Ridiculous. The bristling isn’t about “directness”. Real buyers aren’t buying a $130k from the photos in this listing anyhow… they’re seeing the overall car in basic form and contacting the seller to get high res images or more likely setting up proper in person and/or ppi inspections.

 

The ads purpose is to make you aware of the car. Not to provide you a detailed inspection. If you are interested buy a plane ticket. Or, you are not far away. take a drive a couple of hours south.

 

I did that last year, flew to SD, bought a F328, drove it home. Interested, casually, in TR's now. But unwilling to do the legwork for a seller. Doesn't matter, someone will buy it sight unseen. Peace.

 

Presents well. Major done. Appears to be a stellar example. If it shows well in person, a nice choice for a TR person. And yes, they are a reputable firm.

Yep. I'd put this seller up there with a certain independent in Colorado as two of the most reputable Ferrari shops out there.

Exactly. Maybe entitled or a tire kicker? Reputable seller and plenty of photos for someone to do their own due diligence.

 

Calling it a F328 is probably the biggest red flag of them all.

 

Gary took care of my 2015 California last year. Honest, knowledgeable,professional. He would be the guy I call to inspect any of my purchases in So. Cal.

 

Not knowing who Bobileff Motorcar shows a huge lack of knowledge in who are some of the most respected and longest running Ferrari shops in California if not the nation. I would use a search engine and understand who the seller is before unfairly raising alarm bells.

 

Likewise, Gary has serviced my 308 as well. Always solid work.

 

Car looks perfect.This is a car I would buy sight unseen as Gary’s hands were on it.I have one already otherwise it would be mine.Fabulous price-especially with all the quality work done to it!
