    Right now my 2015 458 spider interior is completely disassembled while all the sticky buttons are being refinished. I forgot to open the frunk before I shipped everything off and I need to get into it..

    Does anyone know if there is a way to open the frunk manually like how the glove box has the little red manual pull string?
    Thanks for the help and any recommendations.

    Emergency Opening : If the luggage compartment lid opening button does not work, there is a string for manual emergency opening underneath the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel as shown by the arrow in the figure

    Thank you for the pix and info. I don't remember seeing a string on that side while removing everything but I'll check later and report back.

    Appreciate the update and picture. I went looking after posting the user manual instructions / picture and saw the same thing, but didn't really feel like pulling it.

    No problem for the pix Rob I wanted to contribute something back to the group. I appreciate the help. Sometimes I just give up searching in the workshop manual after appearantly not knowing what things are called and ask here. This forum is amazing.

    Viperjoe, I did polish my pedals but the deadpedal is a custom made aluminum one with the tricolore ring around the Cavalino in the center. I love the look of a medal dead pedal.
