I “aquired” a lhd 355 last year and want to do trips on the continent with it; 2 Ferraris and child through university doesn't work for my bank balance!
That was fast. I was following along in that auction (weren't we all?) and it's nice to see you scooped it up. How was your BaT experience?
Great photos in here: https://carshowz.com/detail-solutions-white-marsh-2021/?fbclid=IwAR0eADPPoVi8A2-01vaHIkbAZJ9s2pkxOyOSmZIBzjYjWbDIcvgYMnuLC7o
Someone listened and milled their rear wheel starfish offset, that looks amazing. Better than 355 wheels and I have 355 wheels. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks! BaT experience was good, although the whole bidding mechanism was so nerve wracking! I paid more than I wanted to but didn't want to lose this one after losing a used-dealer one a month prior. I also had excellent conversations with the seller and also the mechanic who did the previous 2 belt services before bidding. BaT is a great platform, although it's almost become a cliche marketplace and prices seem inflated (not to mention the buyers premium on top). That said, the market is the market I guess? At the end of the day, I'm so thrilled with my purchase. I sold a first year Miata NA a few years back and it was a fun experience. I'm getting my '09 Cayenne GTS 6-speed MANUAL ready to submit to BaT and people underestimate how much work is involved in a successful auction that pulls the top dollar prices. I've been casually prepping it for sale for the past several weeks, you can't just toss it up online like you would an Autotrader ad.
Yeah, I had 17mm shaved off when I got the wheels in 2015. 17mm so that I could order off the shelf 308 wheel bolts.
We are expected to get hit a third major storm tomorrow. Today was clear and the sun even made a brief appearance. Maybe the final drive of the year? Image Unavailable, Please Login

My street wheels for the Challenge are in pretty good shape. I had them ceramic coated, so the brake dust comes off pretty easily. My track wheels are in good shape, but the temps are so high that it all just bakes into the paint. But yours definitely get the "most authentic original patina" award! Happy New Year to you both, Barry and Tim!
