Ferrari fanatics will always write that they would chose SP3 so questions like this don't have sence. Of coures T50 is more advance construction and it will have more media hype but T50 is not competitor to SP3 it's competitor of LaFerrari succesor ...
986 kg is the target for the total (wet) vehicle weight of the T.50 road car. The corresponding dry weight is just a little over 950 kg. The car is over 150 kg lighter than the McLaren F1. Some of the individual components weights are: Body (monocoque and body panels): < 150 kg Engine: < 178 kg Transmission: < 81 kg So far, they are on track to meet, and perhaps even beat those weight targets.
Ferrari never gave front/rear track data for LaFerrari in their press releases or web site. However, Road & Track lists following figures in inches: LaFerrari (Road & Track): Front track: 66.2 " => 1681 mm * Rear track: 63.5 " => 1613 mm * * = mm conversion estimate Daytona SP3 (Official data): Front track: 66.6 " / 1692 mm Rear track: 64.2 " / 1631 mm Both cars have identical tyre widths: 265 mm (front), 345 mm (rear) Calculated widths with tyres at front / rear axle: LaFerrari: 1946 mm / 1958 mm Daytona SP3: 1957 mm / 1976 mm Width differences are 11 mm (front) and 18 mm (rear). There is a much bigger difference in overall width of cars (58 mm): LaFerrari: 1992 mm Daytona SP3: 2050 mm So mechanically the SP3 is not much (if any) wider than LaFerrari. The extra width appears to come mainly from the side carbon skirts as show in these Configurator pictures: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Then again, the appearance of the SP3 is much wider due to thick door section.
FYI I have just posted a quote in Monza thread where moderators agreed to create a new Icona section once second Icona model was released. I had dimly remembered something along those lines but had to set aside some time to trawl through 134 pages ! I look forward to the new section.
Truly magnificent! The body is covered in a custom colour, a blend of Azzurro California and Grigio Alloy. Accents including the headlights, side skirt, rear bumper and interior feature Argento Nurburgring. We also created an entirely alcantara interior in a camel shade. Grills have also been finished in polished aluminium and logos have been changed to carbon. The paint appears like a slightly darker version of the Alfa Romeo Verde Aqua. The look of that color does not overwhelm the design in the way that some of the Ferrari reds do. Amazing detailed work there with that creation! Image Unavailable, Please Login image courtesy Marcel Massini
Its all renderings. Very very very well done. But computer generated and apparently not a real color- perhaps someday someone will turn it into reality…. It kind of reminds me of Verde Nathalie and also Verde Francesca from two beautiful Pista from two of our members. A little less green and a little more grey in the color. I think it suits the Daytona very well. I also like what they did with the strake area and headlight cover- its either matte CF or some form of grey. Really excellent. With one issue- please please please- I just can’t stand the CF shields and emblem. To me its like seeing someone wearing a red Yankees hat (Im from NY). Red is for the Red Sox. The Ferrari emblem on the front bonnet and the SF shields on the sides have the colors they have for a reason. Im all for personalization, but for me this goes too far.
