My '06 LCD portion of my dash is noticeably darker, even at max, than it had been. The temp, gas and other functions work fine. The tach and spedo light up fine.

Is there any replacement bulbs for the LCD side that can be replaced or is this just the first step in this expensive unit failing?

With my 2010 612, the LCD portion is almost too dark to read in the winter at start-up when the outdoor temperature is below 45 degrees F and the car is in an unheated garage. After about ten minutes of driving around, the LCD portion becomes bright enough to read. My conclusion is that the LCD screen doesn't like being cold.

Being in Southern California that is usually not an issue for me. The morning temp yesterday was around 58 and warmed up to the mid 70s later in the day. Either my LCD is more spoiled than I am or the temperature is not the problem.
