MASE also did the tune on my 360. No complaints at all. In my opinion, MASE and 360Trev are kinda like the debate between getting your car painted Rossa Corsa or Scuderia. Both are stunning!

 

Looking to get my 2003 360 spider ECUs tuned. Have read all I can find posted and looks like AV and MASE are the best options. Aside from $600 is there much difference in their tunes? I am fine paying more if AV is a better and safer option but not sure from what I'm able to find on all the threads. I have stock headers and cats with aftermarket sport exhaust that I just put on. Any advice would be much appreciated.

 

Anything Mase has is probably borrowed from 360Trev, the original tuner for 360's and 430's. Trev even posts open source files for tuners. I would go with AV as he and Trev are close working associates.

Full disclosure, I have a tune from 360Trev and its balls to the walls! He was the first to reverse engineer the ECU's to my knowledge and is a really brilliant guy that offers a lot of support for any questions you have. I've never heard anything bad about Mase, but have a gut feeling they are using Trev's work.

 

360 or 430 tune? If 360, did you have any mods done prior to tune?

 

Mine is a 430. When Trevor did the tune, he asked for all the mods done to the car prior to crafting the tune so it is customized for my particular car. What I have is a tune that takes into account my headers, transmission, TCU, tires and exhaust among other things. Trev made a tune that increases the low end torque, a real problem for 360's and 430's as well as what happens after the valves open. My tune produces more horsepower and torque than a Scud. I haven't raced a 458 but I suspect I'd be close to it. It was really evident when I got on my motorcycle recently for the first time in 3 years. Prior to the tune, my motorcycle was the fastest thing I'd driven. After the tune, I now think the 430 is.

 

I used Mase and am very happy with the results. I have 9,000 miles on it since the tune. It runs so much better, clearly more power, no CEL, no issues. She pulls so strong on the top end! The whole process was done in around 4 days, I can't argue with those kinds of results.

Mods are Mase Tune, Capristo Lvl 3 Muffler, Capristo Decats, CS TCU.

 

You also want a strong pull at launch, this has been the problem with 360's and 430's. Low end torque isn't very good. I believe 360Trev's latest tune focuses in on low end torque which has been a weakness of our cars.

 

You're kidding right? Steve has been tuning our cars and other car models, and for Ferrari challenge series for years and years. He's has his own F430, own shop , owns his dynos. He provide tunes and support for other popular tune companies like Cobb.
Steve has been doing it over a decade all over the world. He's hired by many companies for major races to provide the service on track for major manufactures. He has celebrity clients....yada yada yada.....It's the other way around.
No offense to Trev but Mase is a real tuning company. The has all the resources to provide real tuning services. In honesty, Trev is more of a firmware developer. Understand the difference.

Do you work for 360Trev or something? Why are you pushing his product so strong while trying to discredit the known accomplishment of Mase Tuning, who has a proven record of Tuning all types of Ferraris at their shop for years???

I never discredited Mase. I wrote that I haven't heard any complaints about Mase. I also wrote I suspected he was getting his base files from the guy that has actually published his work, unlike Mase. Like I said, I haven't heard anything negative about Mase. But Trev has a published record over decades that I'm familiar with. Maybe Mase has published his work as well. I have no connection to Trevor other than he did my tune. I chose him after looking at all the others and a ton of research. AV has been publishing at least 20 years on 360's. Aldous has a worldwide reach and influence.

Know for a fact before you post this crap. Its really slanderous and shows you lack of knowledge. It actually put Trev in a bad light....but in saying that....there are a lot of motives on this board with product being offered. That's why I said I have no affiliation or benifits associated with Mase. Can you say the same?
