Ferrari can't do this cuz no one would buy F8 or 296, Porsche bring back 6 cylinder NA because Boxster/Cayman with 4 cylinder turbo have lack of interests

No "solid" rumor I know of that shares those details, just a new V12, but, since the 812c/SP3 now use 9500rpm it would seem any 812 successor would match that...but, as for a smaller block, would seem reasonable but only if going hybrid(or turbo) because the power will be less if the block size drops...or will that be the new normal, new engine less powerful than before?

strange new world, let's see if the F167 actually occurs, there is a 'solid rumor' from before the new management team announcement (Jan 10) that it will occur, but first reveal in late 2023...but, will it continue now that the new team apparently has been put into place to support an all electric future...

The new team doesn't mean an all electric future; most of them are internal hirings anyway. Ferrari will keep making ICE/hybrids as long as the laws and regulations allow them to. Regarding the new halo car, all we know is that it is coming. No one knows more than that, apart from the good people at Ferrari.

Ferrari having stated that the next hypercar will be launched when the technology is ready. We don't know when that is, but there will be a new Ferrari halo car.

Let's hope it's not a new porker, like their last two. Yes, they look and sound great, but they are way too heavy.

They should. Build one last great amazing analog car. 1000 kg, 950 HP from a NA 6.5 liter V12, huge downforce numbers, outperform anything else on a track.

    1000kgs with a 6.5 liter V12 is absolutely impossible.

Heavy yes, but they drive well. Honestly they should shorten the wheelbase a bit in my opinion from the LaFerrari, imo it would improve the aesthetics and driving experience, the Valkyrie's wheelbase is actually surprisingly long

You need a long wheelbase for high speed stability. Length also helps with aero. The Valkyrie is an amazing machine. If anything Ferrari should aim at that and not at the toy-like T50.

Not if they ditch all the useless crap from the car (ABS, ESP, airbags, useless wiring and cables, etc)

Then they could make that car anytime they want, 10 years from now, 30, etc, no regulations for off-road vehicles...

BTW the ABS-ESP unit weighs only a few kilos but makes the car faster, safer and better to drive. But there are always going to be Amish I guess... get rid of the whole car too, it weighs too much!!! Ride a horse instead.

I don't know of any regulations that impose cars to have ABS, ESP and other stuff like that.

    Has been for some time:

    https://www.nhtsa.gov/DOT/NHTSA/Rulemaking/Rules/Associated%20Files/ESC_FRIA_%2003_2007.pdf

    Page E1 (actual page 4):

Requirements The final rule requires passenger cars, multipurpose passenger vehicles (MPVs), trucks, and buses that have a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 4,536 kg (10,000 pounds) or less to be equipped with an ESC system that meets the functional and performance requirements specified in FMVSS No. 126. In addition, the rule requires manufacturers to install an ESC malfunction telltale and allows manufacturers to provide an optional ESC Off switch (and associated telltale) to temporarily disable the ESC system. Specific symbols and/or text are required to be used for the malfunction telltale and ESC Off switch. Throughout this analysis, we assume that an ESC system combines two basic technologies: Antilock Brakes (ABS) and Electronic Stability Control

    https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/electronic-stability-control-now-compulsory-on-new-eu-cars/

EU/others now requires even more braking, now automatic:

shorter wheelbases increase the agility of the car. Also, the t50 is technically significantly less of a toy then the valkyrie, given it was built with more usability in mind, whereas the Valkyrie primarily is a track machine with certain dailyable aspects being a road car.

There is a reason race cars have a huge wheelbase. These cars are not meant for hillclimbs.

I don't understand what this news has to do with the LaFerrari's replacement. There is a section about British cars on this forum.

To outperform anybody on a track you need to go digital these days.

I think "analog cars" should be about not worrying for downforce, performance, etc...
