Has anyone gotten rid of the amber taillight with reverse light, and put the red in its place, I know to some it’s blasphemous but it does look better. I want to know from a technical standpoint if it’s possible, I do not plan on having a functional reverse light. Thanks in advance

The amber and red tail lights share the same black plastic housing and are totally interchangeable.

My '78 was delivered with all red tail lights and the front side markers were also red. The all-red tail lights looked very cool, especially when lit up at night going down the road. After a repaint, I refitted the car with original lenses. I'll dig around for a photo and post it

Seriously can't see the point of fitting vetroresina amber indicators, just to delete the reverse lights - Why make the car even more impractical in the dark when reversing?

Personally speaking, I think having all red tail lights on the rear end of a 308/328 GTB/GTS would just look weird/make the car look like a replica/kit car, because none of the cars came from the factory with all red tail lights (unlike US-spec Daytona's and 246's) - Each to their own I guess.

I am going to bastardize this 308, but will keep all of the stock bits in a bin. I’m not a purist, some things are just plain ugly on these cars especially the us versions,” to each there own”
