I have worked off and on for 2 years building this 1/4 scale F104. It’s finished in a thin aluminum skin one panel at a time to replicate the full scale jet. All the rivets are there and I burnished each panel separately. She is 16 feet 4 inches long. Weight is 74 lbs including 16 lbs of jet A on board. Thrust is 77lbs. Fuel burn is 33oz per minute. I have put 3 flights on her and I’m still learning the model.

Is that a straight turbojet? Not much room in there for a fan, I would guess... how many pounds of thrust?

Wow, that is an amazing model! What a labor of love! I'm a terrible RC flyer but even if I was decent, I'd be quite worried flying something like that given a) the amount of time you spent on it b) what I can only imagine are pretty hairy flying dynamics given the wing loading and general purpose of the full scale airplane... Enjoy but be careful!!

Reminds me of full-scale P.R. ANG F-104s flying over my house in San Juan in the late '60s!

Amazing that with those relatively small wheels and tires she can operate off grass. Most impressive.

Fantastic ! For several years I saw these in action at Abottsford and Paine Field and got to know some of the pilots. Flying this airplane was not for the faint of heart the slow witted. Marvelous model.

I was surprised it got airborne. Not like its a Super Cub with tudra wheels.

And I was not aware Chucky Eager flew them in Germany.
