What has this to do with F1 - apart from absolutely nothing at all?!

Tennis fans will still watch the Grand Slams regardless of whether Novax participates.
Same goes for F1 and Ham.

F1 has some exciting young talent.

Yes. Which is precisely why I made my comment. I get it, you don’t like his dress sense and company. But I ask again, what has this got to do with F1 as a sport and why does it bother you so much?

First of all, you are making a false assumption that I am bothered by it. You are mistaking my amusement for dismay.

Second, what I wrote has as much to do with F1 as a sport as the meme Kimi posted of Hamilton on his toy scooter.

Of course; both sports existed before them, and will continue after them.

    Gentlemen,

Please make use of the ignore button. Hamilton lives very much in the public eye, is the main F1 figure of his generation, and has a keen personal interest in fashion. We've always talked about the personalities of F1 drivers going back to Hunt and sex for breakfast before a race. Arguably, Hunt's bedroom action has as little to do with racing as Hamilton's choices of attire, but nobody minds that.

If you don't want to read boring opining about dress sense, stick the commenter on ignore instead of accusing others of being trolls. Trolling is determined by the moderators when we see it, not by you picking up on obstinate differing opinions.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Thank you, Andrew, for clarifying your position and for your suggestions.

Though I’m always interested in seeing topics debated logically, I’m out when logic flies out the window and is replaced by wacko, tin-foil hat conspiracy theories about planned favouritism of one driver over another by the FIA and Netflix. This and arguing—more like throwing temper tantrums—to death the same points being made for going on a month now because the chosen one was not deigned worthy to win by the whims of fate.

As for trolling, you will see the same usual suspects all over a HAM/Masi thread—backed up by a slew of newcomers joining just to troll on the subject—but precious little contribution to the more varied topics on the F1 or other sections. Invariably, their posts will also contain the word “hate” as a not-so-thinly veiled attempt at virtue signalling. The whole while not appreciating that some people may be turned off by the behaviour of an entitled and delusional brat and also not appreciating that the “oppressed one” has had the most fortuitous run of good luck and use of other-worldly machinery in the history of F1.

Meanwhile (and much appreciated) people like @jgonzalesm6 are contributing interesting and valued content while @DF1 —though probably skirting copyright infringement rules—is copy/pasting complete articles from Autosport for those not paying for a subscription, like I do, in multiple threads in this section. It’s thanks to people like this and all the other friendly and knowledgeable posters that draws us here. The fact that it’s (supposed to be) somewhat Ferrari-centric makes it more fun. Unfortunately, for some, fun (and Ferrari) is not their reason to be here.
