Anything but Matt. Some say it has aero advantages, but if you are depending on a paint finish you might need new engineers.
I loved the shiny dark blood red they used on the anniversary model for one race. And yes, no more matt.
Most F1 cars are ballasted to meet the minimum weight requirement. I can't see why they would need to save weight on paint.
Since the paint is distributed all over the car, I cannot see how the adoption of matt "gives more help to distribute the weight" [sic] .
I do, I do. but you won't sell me the idea that you can alter the weight distribution on a car by changing the paint.
It's pretty simple. If non-Matte paint weights 10kg And matte paint weighs 5 kg That gives an extra 5 kg of weight to place in a more advantageous position. It's not *that* difficult to understand.
