I placed a deposit this past summer the ferrari app shows my spec on the waiting list… I hear even though now deposits are closed build slots will continue to come out… can anyone verify this and while I know I may not get one… does anyone know when the last slots will be given out… not sure but I think the only order book open is the 296 is that true? Only one new model to sell ???

Have you specced your car? If not, the factory doesn't have the order. Once your dealer submits the order to the factory, it's up to them to accept it and start the build. What does your dealer say?

I did spec it and gave a 10k deposit though my dealer told me we do not have the allocation or build slot it did appear on my Ferrari app as wait list with my spec do it was submitted somewhere … I have been told as much as 1 year between deposit and allocation it’s just at the tail end of builds I wasn’t sure…. It’s a crap shoot no big deal but it would be nice to get one if not I’ll wait for gravity to impact the aftermarket….

If you have it on your app then Ferrari knows you have an order, when the dealer gets an allocation they then submit you final spec. to Ferrari.
They will now be building the GTS well into next year, as allocations have been slowed up.
10k is not the normal deposit though, it's a lot less.

Nothing in life is 100% certain until you see it- but if the app shows it on your waiting list then I think you are in a good spot. That only happens if they know you have an order in the system. The app can be a little slow to update.

15k deposit but there is variation.

If they have your order just wait. And see.

Is it going to the US? If so, it's probably on the same ship as mine.

I was asked to pay more than double that in the UK. I must be a bit dodgy :)

How did you find out its on the ship then? My dealer told me the app is updated by Ferraris system which should coincide with what the dealer sees. I guess this is false?

Your dealer has a computer system that tells exactly what phase of the build the car is in. According to my salesman, that computer system is separate from the app.

Dealer just told me what ship it was on, and when due to arrive into the designated Port (this info is not available in the MyFerrari app). I then tracked the ship's progress using the various free ship tracking sites which also updates the ETA into each port.

Right but they tell me the Ferrari app is tied to the dealers. For example their system still shows it as waiting list but they tell me that it is possibly built - they don't know for sure.

The Ferrari app is run by corporate and is not in sync with Modis (ordering system for dealers). My GTS was delivered to my house and the app still had me in "waiting list". A week later, my vin and production photos all showed up under the app.

It's been said my times before that your dealer is the only one that has access to your build/profile etc and can tell you exactly what stage it's at. If you car is past stage 30 (paint) then its a got a Vin# which your dealer also has and so they know even if they tell you that they don't know for sure.

Either they're lying to you or they have different capabilities from my dealer. I can't imagine a Ferrari dealer not being able to see where a car is in the production cycle.

As others mentioned above, the app is seperate from the dealers' computer system. Your dealer can tell you exactly what stage your car is at. Despite receiving the pictures of the car in production a few weeks ago, the app still shows it in the waiting list!!

If you are not sure the dealer is telling you the truth, ask them to send you a screen shot of your car on the modus system, mine did this in the new year without asking, to show me my car was still in the system when they all disappeared from the waiting list on the app.
