Thank you for the update, while I’m usually with progress and innovation, this made me sad.
The realization that I will never get the chance to buy a new Ferrari V12 Berlinetta doesn’t make me aspire to be a Ferrari owner anymore.. what a loss for my generation of enthusiasts.
I guess we must look back to the past and do so as soon as possible before the prices go even more astronomical.

Both the SF90 and 296GTB have plugs...(as does the LaF), I suspect plugs will remain as the goal is EU regulation compliance and that means a lot less fuel combustion(i.e. CO2, particulates, etc)

I saw the Artura--was hoping there might be a 720 replacement that would be a V8 hybrid; I guess we will see. I don't see an advantage of the Artura (or even the 296 for that matter) to a potential 911 hybrid.

If the 812 replacement is a smaller V12 but hybrid, probably wouldn't add that to my current 812. Which brings me to the Aventador replacement...might be interesting but we will see.

So we have our answer regarding motivation of the new management. Haptic controls, silent motors, and flat panel screens. Hybrids will disappear quickly in favor of full electric torque and they didn't make any noise anyway.

I prefer a smaller V12 it will help in reducing the wheelbase hence better handling also lower CG and maybe a 10k redline

We all owe day355 our gratitude for making us part of his inner circle of knowledge.

This news is not entirely surprising given the increased hybridization of even the current line up, but it still hits like a hammer blow to the psyche!

There is something truly heartbreaking about no longer being able to order a V12 Ferrari where … when you press the accelerator … you do not have to wonder whether you are feeling fiery explosions or current flowing. The term ‘end of an era’ is over used but this really is.

It is also not shocking that the Purosangue will be offered with a NA V12. The name means ‘pure blood’ and a NA V12 lends indisputable pedigree and promotes acceptance of the most controversially positioned product ever to leave the gates of Maranello. What IS extremely painful is that it will be the last series NA. We knew this was coming eventually but deep down we all hoped we would get at least one more generation of series sports cars with a NA V12.

Do I trust Ferrari to build a V12 engine… yes

Do I trust Ferrari with hybrids/electrics/ electronics F#*K NO. They can’t even get my iPhone to work correctly in any single Ferrari I’ve ever had.

Should be an interesting next 5-10 years of cars…

Thank you for your always excellent contributions to this forum.
The F167 will continue with a high-rev V12 under the hood, right? Is it the same V12 engine as before the changes, but with the addition of hybridization?
I know you said not to ask any more questions for now, but your post doesn't say if V12 will be kept with this hybridization.
If you can answer, please let us know.

When this news will get also a sort of official communication I can image that 599 GTo , tdf ,812 GTS will probably double their actual price.

I’ve decided to look into 550Ms as they’re the only modern V12s that are around the price range I can afford at the time being and I’m expecting all V12s to skyrocket by the end of the decade.

456 GT and MGT (as long as they get clear of the auto gearbox) are also worth considering IMHO. That being said, I agree the 550 is great and at current prices, very good value for money.

Thank you for the update, even if it is not news we want to hear. For the foreseeable future I’ll be holding on to my pre-GPF ‘19 812SF. :)

Love the 456GT design but (and I’m not really informed about the topic) I’ve heard multiple times that they are horrendous to work on and the electronics are a nightmare, but thanks for the suggestions! I’m trying to look for V12s in my area within my price point

I had a 456M and made it perfect. Cost about $25K but then it was perfectly reliable. Took two vacations in it over 2,500 miles with no problems.

I would rather have a 456M manual than a 550. Unfortunately mine was a GTA, or I'd still have it. Now I'm in a 360 manual.
