Am I wrong or the CS hasn’t gone much up in value compared to the Scuderia lately ? Looks like Scud and many other cars have gone up massively. CS looking quite flat.

If referring to the last 12mo of hyper inflation of cars, then I would agree. Regardless, having one in the collection is fantastic.

It will only take a very nice example on BaT to go for $400,000; there are so very few CS cars available right now in ANY condition. If three well- financed buyers all went looking for a concourse CS with stripe right now, they would have trouble finding one car, let alone three.

I disagree. You can’t touch a “decent” CS for under 275 now. Less than 6 months ago that number was 225. 12 months ago that number was 175.

I agree, though maybe not as low as 175. All depends on what we interpret as "decent". It would be a fun watch to see a few CS's show up on BAT. There have been several Scuds up there in a short time and that exposure helped drive their numbers and gives it momentum.

@Tarek307 is bringing a CS to BaT shortly that will surely make some noise.

Not true... don't think Bring a Trailer will touch a perfectly sorted / no-accident CS that has a reserve price over 240k.

I’d be interested to hear Tarek’s perspective as he’s recently submitted one.

probably hard for Tarek to discuss the reserve without revealing it. But it does seem like the market has changed a good amount in the last 12 mos. The BaT team love CS’s too.

Reerve is also a function of who the seller is. The higher then profile seller, the higher the reserve allowed

Not sure I understand your comment... all should be based on the car, its history, condition, etc. The seller name, profile, recognition, instagram likes, etc, should have nothing to do with the level of reserve set. That said, I assume BaT controls who sells what, when, and at what price to enhance their metrics; that can only improve their valuation when it is time to sell the concept / company.
A reserve price can always be adjusted down as the auction progresses....
