For anyone hoping to get a bag that fits the 308 US edition trunk nicely but isn't, ahem, a set selling for SIXTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS like the current asks for the old flaky Schedoni sets...

What do you use that fits well? (Post model / link of bag if you know it -- just saying "my old no-name gym bag" won't help anyone.)

I was wondering if this would fit, but I haven't found measurements:

I find the black trash bags work great as well, but get the heavy duty ones, gets hot back there and you don't want the bag getting all melty:eek::D

That is so tacky. Up your game. You should use plastic grocery bags that have handles. When I want to be real fancy, I even use those reusable ones from Trader Joes but that is only when I am trying to be impressive at the concierge.

They were great folks to work with.

wilco. How are the bags holding up? Have they gotten any use? And how do they deal with the trunk heat? (Setting aside all those threads in which the owners of early carbureted cars extol us with tales of driving 50 miles with cold beer and still-frozen ice cream back there)

I've kept my bags in the rear trunk year 'round and have had no problems, still looking like new. But then, I have a Euro cat-less exhaust so the rear trunk will obviously be cooler than cars which still have cats beneath the trunk.

If you are curious, easy enough to stick a thermometer in the trunk, drive around for a while, and then you'd know exactly how warm your particular car becomes.

Further, making the bags from leather instead of synthetic vinyl should seemingly hold up better from heat. Colin can use either material, whatever you may wish.

Well I have great tales of "Stuff in my trunk"...the Andretti wine all pushed up corks but that was from altitude change thru Yosemite, not heat.

I DO keep beer cold back there, but put it in the tied ice bag and let it melt out, dripping to the pavement, during parades.
If I overheat I use the ice in the front on the radiator and slam it closed!!

The one Ferrari event I wanted to use the Schedoni, it was displaced by helmets and tools, to New Orleans LA!
I sold the set on, to Oz, but not at the price given above.

A nice tool box rides back there now, with fire extinguishers!

Are the extinguishers “free range” or anchored somehow?
