Hello all, I've recently noticed that if I comment on a thread that there are no further comments. None. Is there something that you think I should know? Am I scaring off further comments? Does my ID make folks think that they are in the wrong place? My breath?

I was... I was afraid of that.

I'll find something with alcohol to rinse my mouth and kill the germs that cause bad breath.

Or, I could go all in and have Indian for lunch today.

    ;-)

I get where you are coming from, it is quite disconcerting when your name is shown as the last post - as the thread gradually disappears into the mists of time.
I dare someone to reply and risk this humiliation. (And save me...)

Maybe it is the food racism.

I think it’s just that some people aren’t into Saab stories

Coincidences do happen :) I had two Saab 9-3 's and always wanted a Viggen at that time.

Serviced at French's or while there were still dealers.

    Viggens were the hot ticket!

At times, I have felt I have had the same effect.

It is probably because our posts are so succinct and so incisive that nobody else can think of anything more to contribute.

More seriously, at least I have never noticed anything unusual in what you write. You’re fine.

Yeah, that's the ticket, more succinct!

    ... and I haven't been called fine in over 50 pounds. ;-)

    Thanks!

Just local indys. But to answer your question, people do not like to engage with incisive but mic-drop kind of responses. The political correctness that is expected these days considers curt responses to actually be a sign of rudeness.

I have thought the same thing before! I thought I was the “thread killer” but it just happens that way sometimes.

I... I don't think that another chance will help at this point. However, I have been researching the proper belt-oil and change frequency... ;)

There’s the rule on job sites that if your getting picked on and bullied to death, well everyone kinda likes you. I suggest finding the biggest deal of a guy on the board and go after him. It’s a hazing thing, I was punched in the back of the head twice for suggesting that all you idiots NOT using Kendall 20/50 high zinc oil are incorrect. (Which is correct) my moms friend who did Honda dirt bike oil changes back in the 80’s can confirm this

I hate to tell you this, buddy, but...
Actually, it is a conspiracy against all "Lesters" living in Louisiana, and former Saab owners...they all are on "ignore"...

(The great french thinker/philosopher/writer Blaise Pascal said, about 400 years ago: "I'm sorry to write you a long letter, but I didn't have enough time to make a short one"; so yes, short posts are best, but takes more time...)

Was going to reply to your puppy comment but them saw this thread and did not want to shatter your paradigm.
