If you don't get the Smithsonian's "Air & Space" magazine regularly, here is one back-issue that you should seek out and read. The September 2021 issue was expanded from 84 to 120 pages and is entirely filled with short stories about flying, many of them quite fascinating. It took me over two months to finally get through the issue, a little at a time. Fortunately the format of the issue made that easy.

You should be able to find this on the reading rack in many public libraries; if you want to buy an issue there are a few available on eBay.

The latest issue is published with the D.B. Cooper blurb in the back in Air Lines.

I read that every month. The big issue was very good, because it was shorter stories, not long drawn out articles. Some really cool little tales about first flights, funny airline things, and one of a kind achievements.

I screwed up again. The recent issue of "AIR CLASSICS" , not "Air and Space" has the D.B. Cooper blurb in it. Sometimes there's too much going on late at night.

Yeah, unbelievably 50 years ago and several publications have recognized it. I think that I have posted the painting on which I was working when I listened to the event taking place two miles from us. May I do it again? Image Unavailable, Please Login
