Amazing Ian. I heard today through someone that spoke to Mike Sheehan in the last couple of days about this five judge scenario, apparently they're after even more, Ferrari Spa want to close down all after market Ferrari repairers/restorers, resellers & can you believe it stop third party or private party to party sales & try to have Ferrari only make these sales...this I can't believe, surely they wouldn't have a hope in hell of achieving, as if all these existing people are going to let Ferrari Spa & dealers take over all this. Sounds like someone has been newly appointed, is rattling the cans & trying to make a name for themselves, interested to know Ian if you really think this will have legs here or internationally.
Pretty much what I was told, naturally given its written by Sheehan, good read thanks Simon, amazing the lengths Ferrari Spa will go to' brings back memories of the whole extended debacle around the old Ferrari Register & the legal threats by Ferrari Spa... they beat you by stealth & persistence.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they go after resale royalties at some stage, eg 5% is payable to the artist when art is resold through an auction house at a certain value if there are copyright laws in place such as here in Oz. 250GTO etc is pretty much art….
