It's not like the GMAs are affordable... Are you insinuating that 80% of Ferrari's clientele don't know how to operate a manual transmission? I find this hard to believe.
think that new customers probably don't know how to make a heel/toe and will have a hard time managing 615 hp for 1100 kg, without too much electronics, in a small wheelbase and with a manual gearbox. Much easier to use an SF 90 !!!
The same could be said for those who will buy the T50 though. Not to mention that it has a heel-toe auto function, as far as I remember from the video that Dario Franchitti made...
Wonder which one they are referring to, either way, .5 seconds on 3.9 miles is still not much of an upgrade.
can you remove electric motor and battery from LaFerrari or any other hybrid sports car and make it classic combustion engine car? or it's absolutely impossible?
I understand it is possible with LaF but requires reprogramming ECUs and some physical changes...for SF90/296 not possible, the hybrid drivetrain is too deeply integrated.
I think the point generally is all high end sports car buyers typically fall into a few categories and those after a hybrid dct set up from Ferrari are not likely cross shopping the 50 or even the 33. Ultimately my bet is the the GMA cars will be much more valuable 20 years now per dollar spent today.
No one can really tell. Ultimately they are cars from a start up, without any provenance. Will GMA even exist in 20 years? But let's not speculate about values. The technical merits of these cars is a much more interesting topic.
So true. I am looking at a 2018 812, ordered for GBP 330, now GP 220 with 3k miles. So that has come off 100 k GBP in 3/4 years, alternatively it has dropped GBP 36.6 k for every 1000 miles. Has that depreciation slowed? Yes maybe Will it reverse? Not impossible, in the short term, where the chip crisis is pushing up 'nearly new prices'. Over the next 5 years? I doubt it. The last owner has two 250 GTO's so maybe not a worry for him !
Depreciation is true or owners are insecure and unaware of depreciation? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Why don't these idiotic politicians just slowly phase out the diesel engines to a point that the diesel engines that would be running in the future will just be for those base load diesel power plants and some heavy duty trucks. If they do this instead of killing the petrol variants I think the air would be a lot cleaner since diesel in general is a dirtier kind of fuel compared to petrol. Still also couldn't understand why do these stupid politicians are bowing down to that idiot elon musk's ugly electric revolution via the company that he stole years ago(tesla motors). That idiot has some hilariously messianic complex that he thinks he is the end all be all of society. Seriously I don't want haptic screens, touch consoles, and tablets in the dashboard. Those things would malfunction after a year of ownership. Hopefully the 812 successor would still have a v12. It doesn't matter if it is a 4.0 or 5.0L V12 as long as they wouldn't destroy the DNA of ferrari.
That supercap for a hybrid is a brilliant way of utilizing additional electric power but minimizing the additional weight. Lambo 1 - Ferrari 0
Hope that’s correct for the owners and the secondary market (were maybe I’ll afford one) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’d bet 50% of the new generation of Ferrari buyers in the next decade won’t even know how to use paddles. They start the engine set to auto as default and go drive around to show off their status symbol and post pictures on Instagram.
