Hi all. I have a low mile 550. When I purchased it the original tires were still on the vehicle. I replaced them with new but thought to keep the original tires as I do not believe they are made any longer.

Knowing they are unusable is there any value in keeping the tires for future concourse or possibly for another low mile car wanting/needing original tires for display? These tires have 5000 miles on them.

Might be an odd question but hate to throw them out and then regret it by me or a future owner. Thanks.

The Ferrari club shows do not assign any points value to original tires. I had original tires for our Testarossa tires and threw them away.

Any concours that encourages the use of dangerously outdated tyres should be banned.

the only reason would be for an accurate Concourse judging, but I am uncertain whether you would lose points over that. If you decide you don't want them, I would be interested in them.

Well at any non national FCA event who knows what they will do. We do have a category called "Preservation" which judges absolute originality. In that original tires are a plus. But the cars all have to be at least 30 years old.

Corvette club is the worst I know of. They try to replicate runs in the paint.

I have kept a set from my 2002 with 1300 original miles on them when I bought a set of modular wheels for the car.
Next took the original tires and wheels and made great end tables! Both the tires and wheels safe for who knows what and conversation piece tables.
