It's different. But it looks Exciting!
I just love the sculptured design of this car. And particularly how the radiator air inlets and outlets have been integrated to the fenders. Image Unavailable, Please Login https://www.ferrari.com/en-EN/magazine/articles/racing-sculpture

I wish they showed the enamel shields. I've never have been a fan of painted shields. I've always thought they look tacky.
The shields on the earliest racing Ferraris were painted. This car is far too special for enameled shields, imho.
Given their size, I’m generally not a fan of painted shields on most modern Ferraris. However, on certain models they look great and the enamel ones would be too small. The Monza is certainly one and having recently seen the SP3, I think it needs painted shields as well. There’s a lot of surface area where it’s placed and I think the enamel ones would look too small. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
We felt the same about enameled shields being too small on the 812, but painted shields seemed too large for the Pista. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think on the front engined cars like Roma or 812 it looks more natural. I personally like having the indented door/fender rather than a flat surface where the shield is painted. Would be nice if they made smaller painted shields for the Daytona
From what I understand there are two sizes produced for the painted shields. However it is Ferrari who controls which model gets which size shield. It is not a customer choice as to the size utilized when the painted shield is chosen.

Really not a fan of these 'fading' paint jobs. Seen it on a few Speedtails, Valkries, and Lamborghinis. Just never quite works from a compositional POV, in my opinion.
Lamborghini pulled off the fading style paint on the special editions and a few Aventadors but this actually looks good to me. I wouldn't spec it on one if I had a build slot but there's something about it that attracts me with the lines and overall shape with this paint. Small Pee Pee, Big Heart
How do they model them so pricesely? Do they buy the 3d model from Ferrari or do they do it from scratch?

From the pictures at least that SP3 doesn't appear to be the Bianco Italia Opaco paint but gloss paint instead???
It's a good observation but I think it is safe to say that unit was Bianco Italia Opaco. There were several sources at the time, though I'd be happy to be corrected. Anyway, if this looks almost glossy-good, just imagine how much greater would be a standard/lucido Bianco Italia...
Great shots of the details, the SP3 is more spectacular every time I see it! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
