Just found this old thread showing pics of the real 0363GT (renumbered 0381GT) : https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/my-main-man-gene-clark-ferrari.495041/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey !! Wait a minute !! Look the radio antenna !! Exactly like the 1958 Nüburgring Europa GT with belgian "B.0528" plates !! In the old thread, it said : "Stephen Mitchell said, "I just spoke to to Peter and the car (#381) did belong to him. It was silver before he painted it the plum color you see in the photograph." Silver with radio antenna ? Also small plots near the wipers are identical. And if "B.0528" car was the real 0363GT, repaired and renumbered 0381GT ?? The one with plum colour in USA in 60's ? Does anyone by chance know the current owner of this car ? I have some parts that might’ve originally belonged to it and I’d like to re-unite them.
Don't know who owns the car but I've found more 60's pics on Twitter and ebay. The car was on the cover of a Gene Clark disc called "Roadmaster"... I wonder now if 0363GT (renumbered 0381GT), ex-Peter Helm, could not be the 2019 Milano Autoclassica one ? That could explain why many details are wrong...
And the Celeste colour at 2019 Milano Autoclassica could match with the 1955 Brussels Show. What do you think guys ??
All I can say that my recent research to this car seemed to suggest its last known or rumored location was Italy.
The car at 2019 Milano Autoclassica is full of errors. If it's really 0363GT as I think now, colour is not the last error for the restorers...
I'm sorry, unfortunately I don't know more. It happens to me too, sometimes I stare at certain photos to try to figure out the chassis number. It's like a worm.
As I wrote here: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/148348492/ I posted on the threads that follow the photos of the other classic Ferraris that I saw at the stand of the organizers of the Milano Autoclassica 2019 fair. Here are the links for those interested: 330 GTC: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/148349006/ 246 GTS (two): https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/148349144/ 250 PF cabriolet: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/148349502/ the photos of the 275 GTB I had already posted here: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/148201496/ Good night
if not 0363GT could it no be 0417GT ?But if it has a longer wheelbase the description panel shows 1953 (I know it will not be the first time something wrong is writin in a description ) any info about 0309EU ?
The Azzurro car at the Milano Autoclassica 2019 is not 0309 EU. I inspected 0309 EU not too long ago. Photo below. Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The 2019 Milano Autoclassica is a 250 Europa GT with 2.600 mm wheelbase. This car didn't exist yet in 1953... About 0417GT, there are too much differences with the Milano car. I'm still thinking to 0363GT until proven otherwise...
Note, Pinifarina's three-window Europa (and America) were made in two styles; high roof and low roof. For example, posted here, 0309EU is a high roof, while 0321EU is a low roof. john
