Looks like they chose to “scatter” cars throughout the show field rather than group them together with their classes.
OMG, poor judges. Now they have to search endlessly to find all the cars they are supposed to judge in their class. Italian organisation?...........Judging doesn't seem to be important anymore. Marcel Massini
My apologies if I have missed any reference to it - I am interested in understanding the full context of the current listing of a 288 GTO, three owner car, 9,500km and a NO RESERVE an upcoming auction - their estimated sale is €2.4-2.6M? That seems like something is negatively influencing its potential - or perhaps I do not understand this market at this time?
IF you're referring to the car at the RM Paris auction, that car was discussed in this thread previously. It appears as though the condition of the car is such that it would not achieve a strong result comparable to other cars in the market. To put it more bluntly - it's not in great condition and the estimate reflects that.
Thank you Marcel. Much appreciated. That makes sense in terms of outstanding work to be done on the car. Thank you again.
A friend owns a P51. We were driving through the back side of the airport at Reno Air Races and I saw an all white P51. I commented it was a good looking airplane. He slammed on the brakes and stopped. He looked at me and said "Have you ever seen an ugly P51?" I responded "Ugh no". So Joe, is there a bad side?

Amazing for a car that has been sitting for decades and comes without proper books (warranty book). Marcel Massini
There have been GTO's that have sold for more and one that sold for a few million more, a little while ago.
Offering all cars at "no reserve" automatically attracts much more people than normal and everybody thinks they can get a bargain or actually "steal" a car. And then, when you have two big egos in the room or on the phone, things like that do happen easily. Marcel Massini
I’ve said a few times on here , the smoke and mirrors with regard to cars sold and pricing is so distorted , unless you are party to the trade and involved then you never know or know the details..
