very interesting: where does the heat of intercooler water radiator go? Is there another radiator for the intercooler with his own expansion tank and waterpump too? From pictures it looks there is a junction with the engine main water cooling system, but isn't it too hot to properly cool down the inlet air temperature?

    Thank you

    Ciao

Does it have a modified engine cover?

Norwoods told me they would never do another twin turbo 308. I can see why.

You are guessing correctly. There is an additional radiator in front of the AC condenser and an electric water pump. I’m not 100% sure how they ran the hoses. Somehow they squeezed them in with the AC lines on one side and the heater line on the other.

It’s this car from the middle of the magazine cover. It got second in the top speed contest. (Twin turbo testarossa beat it).

Yes, there is a modified engine cover.

And yes, Bob told me this was the only twin turbo 308 he ever did. I need to sit down with him and find out more of the story. The exhaust manifolds are cast ones from a Prancing Horse kit, but have been modified for larger turbos.

Here are a few more pics of the car.

So where did it land on that list of 24 of the quickest cars?

Second. Only the twin turbo Testarossa beat it. Btw that is actually Bob Norwood driving the 308 in that photo.

One quick tip for those that do their own belts: mark your cam gears,
drive gear (I do the center and two more spots) and the old belt. Then transfer the marks to the new belt.

Impressive what many people have got out of the F106/105. What usually breaks? Drop gears? Drive shafts?

I haven't actually broken mine except for an ecu mistake on my part that caused my head to lift enough to compromise my head gasket seal. We took the opportunity during that repair to refresh the entire motor. This is on my blue 308 that makes 800hp.
