Thanks for posting that clarification! Seems unlikely that anyone would take the time ... and pay Ferrari Chat ... to post classified ads on cars that have already been sold .. but I guess that thought has escaped a few folks.

 

I’ve seen how much heat ya’ll have been getting for the “Hammer Sold” name, but I still wanted to clarify so people would understand that the cars are actually for sale vs already being sold.

Or you picked a bad name for your company. As most everyone has said in other posts when a person sees “sold” in the title they assume whatever was listed was sold and they move on. Even if the word “sold” is in the sellers name. Btw, have you received any bids for any of your cars listed for sale?

Google is magical. So have you had anyone bid yet? Do I call you mark or is that the parent company? Maybe if you drop the SOLD from the user name it would help. Logo is cool and concept is creative.

 

Thank you for the feedback and positive comments. Google search is a Fiat 500 we are an SF90 ... sometimes the high road is to simply go hide under a different bridge.

 

Listen man, you do you, but I totally agree that a WTB topic, for what the post describes as an auction, on a site named “hammer sold” is extremely confusing.
and there are definitely FChat partners who pay to list results / sales to try and attract consignors.

Do whatever you want but if you have a lot of people coming out to talk about it... I mean this is FChat, people usually give each other a pretty long leash before they start ruffling feathers. Its not like Vortex where people just complain about everything like a competition sport.

 

When the words “SOLD!” then “Auction” then “Wanted” come up on the same sentence of an Ad then perhaps the polite feedback should simply be noted. Don’t think anyone wishes you guys harm, it’s just beyond confusing at a glance.

Nobody could reasonably expect everyone to correctly and immediately interpret that this is a “wanted” ad when it has an “auction ID” and is presented with the word “sold” in bold letters…
