Ninety pages of meritless speculation, insult and animus. Well done.

I disagree. He's got is made in the shade and he knows it. Everyone knows it.

There's an assumption that George Russell will come in and immediately be much better than Bottas. That's an assumption in every way, shape or form.

Let's see if he can get an 8th WDC title while facing adversity-->aero change, engine freeze, RedBull-Honda-Max, Russell, and psychological of losing a WDC title.

It won't be as "easy" since 2014 thru 2020.

I doubt Lewis has it "made in the shade" going into 2022.

Well, in American racing circles winter discussions were called the "hot stove league". Not much else to do, I suppose.

I would love to be proven wrong, especially if it's by Ferrari. In the meantime I will stick to my opinion regarding his standing with the Mercedes team.

The question was "Did anyone really think Lewis would quit ?"

My answer was yes, because in in shoes I would have. IMO, continuing isn't worth the hassle.

But that has to do with my mindset: I never think I have to prove anything to anybody.

Easy lol. He had fights with Rosberg and Vettel. Sorry but he had to show up and drive the car for all these years. Not Tesla Autopilot. No driver just had it easy. See Bottas words of late about LH work style and ethic.
Same for Perez about Max. Max and LH work to be successful- period. I would not say for any it’s easy. Teams are not forgiving even if u are a “legend.” Ask Kimi when Ferrari fired him.

Even if I hate his personality, I’m very happy that a driver of this quality stays in the competition.
The championship level must be pulled up and not down.

That's quite true. He'd have had way more crashes than he did.

Though the red light running is spot on...

Hence why I put EASY in quotes. I realize the fight in 2016 and 2018 between Nico and Seb.

Glad Lewis is back. Last season was as great a battle as during the Prost/Senna years. To lose one of those protagonists going into a new era would have been tough.

Now we're on to a new formula with nobody having any sense of who's got it right/wrong.

    Glad to have him back.
Chuck or Carlos need to beat him.
SF needs to beat AMG Mercedes.
Not to mention the energy drink squad.
If we are not at that level we fail.
    It is called elite sports.
