Thank you. What do you think production time is ? Also one of the last ones? Seems like they’re going to make them for another year and one half ? Congrats. Drive it well. I’m glad I went tailor made but my build is a bit subdued comparatively speaking to what I’ve seen done. I would have done more. Cathy and Aldo suggested Dreamliner and liveries but I’m so conservative. Did not want to go matchbox car. Ooh well next build is bolder.
It will only change the sound if you raise the compression and match the cam timing to be aggressive. Doubt very much they will raise rpm. They will more than likely raise efficiency by keeping the rpm in the 9000-95000 range with less reciprocating mass, and then support that with hybrid. If that's the case, we are probably looking at 650ish hp + hybrid. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
The engine shrinks as the electric assist grows until it becomes all electric. That 650ish hp is 200hp down. Small engines are small engines.
Had my appointment 12/17, and just finalized this last week and cleared with Maranello. They told me 12-18months.

Well its becoming obvious with this new CEO at the helm, the old Ferrari is leaving and its looks like an entirely new one is being ushered in at warp speed hold onto your hats!
This change has been ongoing for over 10 years now and started when John Elkaan was appointed CEO of EXOR. The real turning point was the replacing of Luca with Segio in 2014. Ever since this change, Ferrari has been a fundamentally different firm and the person really in the driving seat has been John Elkaan. Maybe there was a partnership of sorts when Segio was still around but since his passing away its been all John Elkaan. The CEO's are there to execute his strategy.
Yes your are exactly correct its ALL ELKAAN, more than any of us enthusiasts ever wanted. Vigna is just following Elkaan's vision of what he thinks Ferrari should be in the future.
@rossodino Ferrari boss John Elkann embraces an electric future EU ICE ban? 'We see the regulation as welcome,' with first Ferrari EV aimed at 2025 https://www.autoblog.com/2021/08/02/ferrari-john-elkann-electric-cars/ MILAN — Ferrari, the sports car maker synonymous with roaring petrol engines, welcomes the shift to electric powertrains and is confident of retaining its lead in the market for high performance cars, its chairman said on Monday. The European Union last month proposed an effective ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars from 2035 as part of its measures to combat global warming, posing a challenge to automakers that have made powerful engines a key selling point. But Ferrari Chairman and acting CEO John Elkann told analysts on Monday the company known for its 'Prancing Horse' logo saw the change in technology as an opportunity. "We see the regulation as welcome," Elkann said, as Ferrari stuck to its main 2021 targets after reporting second-quarter core profits just ahead of expectations. "The opportunity set by electrification, electronics and other technologies that are coming available will allow us to make even more distinct and unique products," he said. Elkann, the scion of Italy's Agnelli family which controls Ferrari through its investment company Exor, was speaking weeks before new CEO — technology industry veteran Benedetto Vigna — takes the helm on Sept. 1. One of Vigna's tasks could be to forge new partnerships, along the lines of Ferrari's existing tie-up with Britain's Yasa, now part of Daimler, to help with the shift to an electric era, Elkann said. "We believe that within the industry and more importantly, outside of our industry, we are going to benefit much from partnerships and joint programs," he said. Ferrari has pledged to launch its first all-electric car in 2025.
I think everyone understood that Ferrari today is Patek who manufactures a liquid crystal watch. The problem; Patek buyers are not Seiko liquid crystal buyers. I'll buy some popcorn and watch the movie !
Its going to be interesting to see all the posts about how positive this is and how past due it was. Immersive digital cockpit and multi-G connectivity and all. EVs are fun. Stop living in a cave. We want silent, digital, fully autonomous, mobile metaverse capsules. With hand-painted shields, of course.
Why are they even making cars anymore...this is the entire future it seems https://www.ferrari.com/en-EN/esports
At some point we need to accept that Ferrari and other exotic car makers are pivoting away from the desires of its traditional/current customer base and towards the next generation. The pace of change is unlike anything we’ve seen before and is evidently more focused on high technology interfaces and connectivity than it is on delivering an emotional or raw driving experience. It is what it is and so I’d rather spend my energy rediscovering special cars of the past than lamenting the future.
Exactly. And they should go watch the news clip from last night of the guy in Tesla that crashed into a sheriffs car then HI patrol car almost killing two officers….because he was in autonomous mode and…wait for it…watching a movie.
While I have an 812 GTS and SF 90 Spider on the way, lately I've taken an interest in doing a restomoded 308. A simple raw experience, 2500 lbs and 400 hp seems much more attractive to me than the latest heavy hybrid car with numerous doo dads. And I never have to worry about replacing a battery that costs tens of thousands of dollars. Maybe it's because I'm getting to be an old guy and am stuck in the old ways. But I suspect that I'm not the only one having these thoughts.
Not old just pure. I am 49 and in mid process Of a an 82 euro GTS….restomod I am doing at my place. Don’t consider myself old yet but others may . I wish Ferrari would make a modern day Dino. I love my GTS and Roma but as you note, something to be said for lightweight, reasonable power and more analogue than digital.
If only I could get this plate. Too bad we didn't get the 80s-style plates back. Image Unavailable, Please Login
