It’s interesting and beyond me how this process works 1 vin should be linear in time, no? 2 nonlinear delivery via shipping 3 assembly line is a line once it’s on the actual line( yes I’ve been there ) 4 vin/ chassis 1 should be on the boat before vin 2 or the variability occurs after the vin Why would I get a vin earlier and get my car later unless the process takes longer on my car per se. I place my order. I get vin 1. You order next and get vin 2. If two is ahead of 1 on delivery then the assembly of 1 must be taking longer. I presume this is on the paint side before it hits the actual assembly line ? Because they really are on an automanual process at this point. What am I missing? Let’s test this idea about pre assembly and paints Special paints take longer ? Vin 4694 /85/ canna di fucile Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
From what I’ve gathered on these forums, Ferrari utilizes four vessels for their North American shipping: Chicago Express, Vienna Express, CMA CGM Dalila, and OOCL Europe. I used vesselfinder.com to track the vessels. From what I’m seeing, Dalila, which is currently in Charleston, will probably be the next vessel to head back to Italy. It should be there in a few weeks time. Mind you this is all speculation. The shipping/port crisis is very real and it is unknown how many cars are awaiting shipment. You really need to hit 90 to get a better idea of which vessel it will be on.
Status 90 but no third picture yet!!! Anyone know which vessels are currently inbound ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jan 11 was when I knew 85. Today was when I knew 90. He said it’s on a ship as we speak. Odd because I should have gotten my completion picture. F8 coupe. Picture 10/20/2020 and delivered 12/19/20 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
On the water too, 85 before Xmas so took 6 weeks to go to 90. Dealer says 6 weeks out think it will be April before I see it. 2nd picture has been there since Nov but no 3rd picture. Have had situation before where the 3rd picture showed up after I picked up the car...
Bamm. Happy Friday. It’s in the Chicago express in France right now before US Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Super dumb question, other than calling my dealer, how do I monitor the status of my car? Was told Feb or March delivery a while ago and haven’t followed up. Lamborghini just texted me stating ‘’car’s here, come get it’, for the STO, and that was okay, I guess.
I hope things are returning to normal, but last fall I was at status 90 for 9 weeks. Looking for delivery pictures soon!
I'm FCF too... Candido is also my sales a.. He's great.. I placed my order on march 2021.. VIN showed on app first week of December. Got my first pic this morning... Tributo
Hoping some of you more experienced users can assist. I'm trying to determine which vessel is headed towards the port that Ferrari ships from. Does anyone know which port Ferrari uses and which specific vessel is headed there right now?
Copy and pasted from earlier: From what I’ve gathered on these forums, Ferrari utilizes four vessels for their North American shipping: Chicago Express, Vienna Express, CMA CGM Dalila, and OOCL Europe. Use vesselfinder.com to track them. Ferrari ships from the port of Genoa. Looks like Chicago Express just left Genoa a couple days ago.
I went status 85 on 1/26. I'm hoping I'm on the Chicago Express like you are. Just spoke with my SA and he still sees 85 as of 1/26 and no third pic yet. I'm hopeful but not sure. The 3 other vessels, Vienna Express, OOCL and CMA are both in North America. I certainly hope I'm on the Chicago Express and there's just a lag with status update and third pic.
I spoke with FOCF yesterday. I’m looking at April//May delivery for the F8S, which is fine by me (like of garage space is a problem right now). He told me it’s taking 6-8 weeks in shipment. I believe I placed a deposit around the same time as the STO (Jan 2021). That arrived in late October!
You and I are in exactly the same "boat"! . My F8 spider went 85 right around same time as yours and still not third picture. I live part time in Chicago, so perhaps that's a good sign! Crossing fingers and toes.
I found I didn’t get my last pic until it hit 90 or higher. Stayed at 85 for about 2 months. Mine was air shipped. SV
God I hope we're on that boat! It left Barcelona just now. https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels/CHICAGO-EXPRESS-IMO-9295268-MMSI-211839000
The Vienna Express is slated for NY Port 2/20. My SA mentioned Port of Rhode Island and I've read others stating Port of Newark.
