Brundle says crucial regulations were'nt carried out by Masi. https://www.crash.net/f1/news/996267/1/red-bullmasi-f1-radio-messages-really-uncomfortable-brundle
You're the only one that cares. The FIA has been inconsistent since inception, nothing new here to see. Lots happening in the 2022 thread as 2021 is over and as you saw yesterday, the "1" is on the red bull. Hamilton lost, get over it and quit flooding every thread with your nonsense.
You playing Fchat police now? You can't tell me what to post, or when to post. 49 pages to this thread but I'm the only one cares. LOL. You're funny. Those are words from Brundle the other day, go tell him to get over it.
OMG! The British media are never going to get over this, are they? For the love of god, Max, please just give Hamilton your trophy so these people will stop mentally breaking down over a sporting event.
Ask them to void the results of Singapore 2008' and they're like "That was different! It was a year later that we found out!". People going on that this is the most controversial officiating in F1 ever are just being melodramatic because Hamilton lost. If the situations were reversed and Max lost and then he and his team behaved like this, all the people talking about how Hamilton is Jesus on the cross right now, would be calling Max a sore loser who should move on, and that it was the right move to let them race. 100% no doubt about it.
This is funny, Max cant even be sporting enough to remain on the podium for a fair decision let alone have a race and championship stolen from him, Max would likely have knocked Masi out, so would his Dad....... could you picture the f"ing and blinding max would have done HAHAHA he loses his cool for tiny things let alone a big one like that. Result shouldnt be voided, its unfair to those who didnt gain an advantage from Masi's atrocious decision, eg Sainz and his 3rd place finish. RB lobbied the race director to try change his decision cause they knew if it finished to the rules they lose... after sucessfully getting Masi to change his mind and break the rules they, RB, gained an advantage. why should others be punished for what really is RB influencing the race director to change the rules for them. Leave the resut, Make new rules that prevent it ever happening again, pretty much like the current ones already do... Brush it under the carpet, pretend it never happened.. Done
Really? Toto didn't even have the guts to watch the restart as a show of support for his driver he was such a basket case. The fact of the matter is Masi also failed to follow protocol, when the lapped cars weren't waived by on the previous lap, for what is still an unexplained reason. Alonso and Vettel were asking over the radio why they weren't waiving by the backmarkers, and the course was clear at turn 14 for 3 laps, so there was no excuse to not un-lap backmarkers and go green. Masi made up for it by using his authority to not fully apply regulations if he wanted, and that's really all there is to it. I notice people didn't complain about Lewis lobbying for the safety car to go faster, so he could be over the line for the final lap before the yellow was lifted. Of course, I'm sure, that's still somehow different.
Or how remarkably silent everyone is for Toto successfully lobbying Masi when there were 2 cars stranded on the track and Mercedes didn't pit. Edited
You just explained drivers being confused over Masi's actions. Thanks for saving me the time. Lewis lobbying for safety car to go faster? LOL if I complained about every driver lobbying for something every race, I would have too much time on my hands.
Max left a podium without saying a word. He didn't flip out, unfollow everyone on social media, then act like Jesus on the cross for 3 months like Lewis. I seriously doubt Sainz would've gone in the fight, but as long as we're on the 'coulda shoulda' train, who knows who the race would've played out had Ham been forced to give the position back after he cut the course clear as a day. Oh, right. Lemme guess "It was just evasive action!" When the footage of Latifi in the wall with minimal debris on the track first came on the TV, Mercedes looked like they had seen a ghost. They knew they were ****ed unless the caution was drug out. They had no reason to count on that, as the average SC is 3.5 laps compared to the 6 that were left, but that was the gamble they took. Obviously, had they known for sure the race would go green they'd have pitted for new tires, but then if they had, then they were taking a gamble that Max would not pit and would be in front of them for the restart and his tires were young enough to hold Hamilton off, even with fresh tires. It was an impossible situation. Bad luck for them - boo hoo. They were royally ****ed without the race ending under yellow and they knew it, and that's why Lewis was begging for the SC to speed up and run the clock out.
Yep, Toto started the game of lobbying, Horner just returned fire. When Toto successfully lobbied to keep the SC from coming out when cars were stranded on the track, a very clear line was crossed that couldn't be uncrossed.
Everything Lewis did wasn't harmful to no one else. Max fighting people is harming someone else. You can't in no way compare Max's anger and poor losing to Lewis. You can even look at Jos's actions. Max is the same. I believe Max and Jos would have came face to face with Masi, if not hitting him.
Race control allowing the bulletin of "lapped cars not allowed to overtake" to go out is the biggest problem, imho. It created confusion. It eased the nerves of Hamilton's, Mercedes, and their backers that he was protected, when the reality is that it was not a final decision, and so when lapped cars did get cleared out of Verstappen's way, it made the end hurt that much more for them.
That's a cheap low blow to bring Max's father into the conversation. Whatever he did, Max is not accountable for it, and he is still entitled to love and forgive his father for whatever happened between him and his mother. It was shameful when people attacked Lewis's family, and it's shameful to attack Max's.
You posted it so you do care, so yes, YOU need to get over it, as well as all the Brits like Brundle who think Masi screwed up. The FIA has always been inconsistent but you act like they have been consistent, they haven't! Inconsistency has been discussed for years and years and years. Tell Toto that if he pits lewis, its a non issue as they're where max was with fresh tires and lewis makes the pass to win the championship. You have no defense against that argument. You just spew "masi, masi, masi".
Its not a cheap low blow. I can't repeat some things people said about Lewis or his family. Don't play the lovely, lala respect everything game here. Lewis is not in same league as Max when it comes to loosing.
You are responding. So you care too. The SC car for the most part has been consistent year after year. Pitting is not the issue here. Teams pitted all year, yet we saw no controversy. This falls on Masi.
I do know the things that have been said about Hamilton and his family, no need to tell me. I've very aware of the racial slurs. They were disgusting. Notice that Massa, Verstappen and Vettel stood up for Hamilton when he was booed and his family were harassed, while Hamilton has done sweet **** all to stand up for Latifi and Masi and the harassments and death threats they've received? He's proving what his peace on earth persona is nothing but a put-on, and I say that as a liberal Democrat. Massa and Ferrai helped Timo Glock and the Toyota crew disguise themselves to escape Brazil, and called on the Brazilian fans to stop. That's how it's done.
I didnt say any thing about Sainz catching or even trying to overtake either LH or MV, if you void the result, he loses a well earned 3rd. if the rules was stuck to, he would have finished 3rd, if it ended as it did, well we also know he finished 3rd... Just... no coulda shoulda about it...... Actually, marshalls was still clearling ( Sweeping ) the track on lap 68, it was a Masi call, A " He could let all the cars go or not on this lap decision ( as is with in the rules ) He choose to wait an extra lap on his own accord as Marshalls was still sweeping, so up till this point all is good fair and sporting. Seeing as only the actions from this moment are being questioned, does Masi let all cars go or none?, If he choose to start the race with lapped cars in place, That would have in JP's words seals the championship for Merc, If he let all the cars unlap, it finishes under Yellow conditions so no overtaking, if the two normal options for a restart had been followed LH finishes 1st, MV 2nd Sainz 3rd. https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/video.jolyon-palmer-analyses-verstappen-and-hamiltons-abu-dhabi-showdown.1719150088008083452.html But Masi, he choose a 3rd option that didnt even exist after being manipulated by RB to change it, the option he took broke the rules, wasnt even a fair sporting decision or a safety related one ( In fact, it looked rather dangerous for the cars who wasnt allowed to unlap as they didnt have any clue who they was racing and who they was not and had to be guided by the team ), and in the end it changed the result of the race. Only thing they can do is sweep it under the carpet and make sure it doesnt happen again, but the dark cloud wont lift while Masi is still RD
How do you know he hasn't? Hamilton doesn't need to do anything publically to please nobody. There are plenty of times Hamilton defended drivers in the past. Now you bring up this particular event to try to prove your point? Lol
