F8 F8 Base price increase, Apple CarPlay Standard

Just received notice from my dealer that the F8 base price has increased by $4,635 and destination charges have increased by $1,050. Apple CarPlay is now standard equipment.

Kind'a interesting change this late in the model cycle. I have a F8 Spider on order.

 

What model year is this for?

 

Should be 2022. Not sure they will make any 2023, but not sure.

My 2022 coupe is currently being shipped to the dealer. I did tick the box for apple CarPlay and it is on my invoice. I wonder if this is for cars that have yet to be produced?

 

Yes, probably so. Mine hasn't been built yet.

 

Maybe the base went up that much because it is about the absurd amount they used to charge for Apple CarPlay. Also, I am assuming Spiders will be built into 2023 as I placed my deposit in September, and was told 18-24 months. That would put me into spring-summer of 23.

They will produce F8's after the summer holiday shutdown in August and they will be 2023's, and yes assume the price goes up a little. I don't know if it will be coupes and spiders, but my spider will be produced then.

 

Pleased to hear that CarPlay is included as it offsets some of the increase - also have an F8 S on order for this year.

 

Gentlemen; Was at my F dealer yesterday in Maranello N.Y. was informed since the Huge Demand for the F8 request was in full force. Ferrari has reopened the orderbooks for the next 4 months. I know sometimes "Rumors R Tumors" as I will keep digging into this manner n can inform in the future. Also BIG Ferrari dealership meeting taking place in Austin Texas sometime in the middle of March. Stay well everyone.

 

296 delayed yet again ?

 

Don't know that for sure. Maybe hear something after the March meeting.

I chatted with my sales rep at Ferrari Silicon Valley yesterday (because my F8 Spider has finally made it to the dealership) and he hadn’t heard of this. He said he would also ask around but is very doubtful that F8 books have reopened.

I’m driving down to the dealer shortly. Will ask around as well.

Regarding CarPlay, I had added it to my build.

 

I spoke to my dealer this week as well. He said they have many allocations for F8 coupe and spider that they have not even spec’s yet. But he said allocations are long gone. Interesting enough, he also said they were just told they will only have 1 allocation for 296 this year - and that will be their demo car. All customers with deposits will wait till 2023 allocations. Seems odd. I had deposit on F8 the day it was announced and was 10R some 8 months later I believe.

 

I doubt highly the f8 order books will reopen. The demand far outweighs the supply so much so that customers with deposits who had waited for months on end were booted from the list. I would not be hopeful that order books will reopen.

 

After this so called March meeting in Austin, I will be posting any n all info I receive. Like I said earlier sometimes "Rumors R Tumors" Wishing U all well.

 

Palm Beach says they have not heard anything.
