Reunite?! Looks more like trying to sell the owner of the car his/her keys…. Why not just give them to them? Am I that out of touch with society? LOL

I am happy to purchase. I have not seen the articulated keys for a 308. My interest is to modify for use on a 328.
    PM me with payment details.
    Regards,
    Bill

Be sure to get back to the owner as these things can be hard to source- you might find him by getting onto ferrari dealer to trace the car

Thanks Karabil: Ideally I would prefer to locate the current owner for these and have a few more sources to track down.
I will reach out when I know more.
The actual original keys went with the car back in 98’ so they’re not being deprived of O.E. supplied items. Just as I throught they were pretty cool in this format, perhaps they will as well.
Hang tight. Just want to follow through on my due diligence.
    Ciao

My car came with two sets of these types of keys, so the original car likely has one set.

Guess I’m lost. What are you going to do with a key already cut for someone else’s ignition? Use it for a wind chime?

I’m gonna make an earnest effort to find the current owner and once those efforts are exhausted, I will sell them to the gentleman who expressed an interest earlier today.

Oh I totally understand your position. My comment was more directed at gentleman #2.

Got it. Sometimes it’s hard to follow who’s responding to who on these threads. Other than reconfiguring the internals or tumblers I’m not sure what the options are.
I have one of the rubber base O.E. Key with the little prancing horse that came with the and a repro which for all intents and purposes looks pretty close. Before I bought repro from the fellow that was selling them on ebay before Ferrari shut him down I was fortunate enough to find an O.E. uncut blank. ($$$) Took it to Ace Hardware, told the guy this is irreplaceable, and he completely blew it.
So speaking of wind chimes, I’ve got the most expensive one out there!!!

I was referring to the key that came with my 550 and other cars of the era.

Made me chuckle as I had the exact same experience using Ace Hardware to cut a repo key blank for a 308 GTB I use to own.. got off easy. I think I lost $60.

That's fine by me. If the keys belong to that 308 that's where they should go. If not then as I said I am happy to take them.
    Cheers

I had an Ace Hardware store ruin an expensive key blank I imported from Japan one time. No idea how they blew it or if it's typical that they screw up a certain percentage of blanks (usually on their dime). Come to find out there was a newer type of "self service" key machine at Home Depot that would have made the process idiot proof. I should have just gone there.

I don’t understand what would you do with a cut Key if you don’t have the lock
