You are right on the charging network. I'm currently working on a project with a private firm who are rolling out fast charging station network from Brisbane to Melbourne over the next 18-24 months. 4 test sites have been installed and now approved for rollout. They have a deal with the fast food outlets to install them on site as there is always a fast food place evey couple hundred kilometers. I have written the software that allows them to use the remaining power available on site and feed into the charging network without disruption and can monitored independently so basically can really deploy a site anywhere. They are currently the second largest private charge network and will surpass telsa in the next 18 months
Have you actually been in Tesla 3? The interior is perfectly OK for an ordinary car; the hysteria about it seems to be pretty much beatup. I was surprised that the seats were pretty comfortable - virtually no modern seats are comfortable for me...
Wouldn't be seen dead in one. Yeah, the interior looks great for a 60-100k car.... I'll admit I'm biased against Tesla. Can't stand them. However, I'm in favour of electric cars in general for the daily runabout duties. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Fair enough, but unfortunately nothing compares for the price..... Yet Sig www.pless.com.au/mechanics.htm
I think the Tesla 3 is a good looking thing. Of course I've only been in one Tesla, never driven one. Yet.
Really? Wow. Fair enough. I think the Model S looks nice enough, but is old-hat now. Funnily enough after the posts on this thread today, while I was driving to golf this afternoon I saw two new BMW 4 series Gran Coupes (obviously non-electric but look the same as i4) driving in convoy (maybe on a test drive?) and I have to say they didn't look bad at all. Both in a dark colour so hid the awful grille somewhat. Anyway, much better looking than any Tesla in my book.
As Peter says, I love the fact that a family sedan has that level of performance. When I build next, I will definitely allow provision for electric vehicle charging.
Drive both and let me know how disappointed you are in the bmw lol I don't get how all the manufacturers let Tesla get such a head start, but especially BMW that had electric since 2014 or so Oh....and Nissan, of course. Sig www.pless.com.au/mechanics.htm
agree Rubbish plus there just ugly reminds me of a turd. Amanda wouldn't be seen in one of those things ! And I wouldn't let it be parked out the front of my Victorian home. And it would NOT be welcome at the Mt Martha compound .. So NO Tesla .. however she does like the BMW i4
100%. Styling-wise, Audi have the best on offer at the moment. Unfortunately my brother is an Audi man through and through, so I couldn't buy one..
