Seeing as how we have a great tradition of brilliant pubs meals in Oz though I'd start a thread to see what we all think. Biggest steak I EVER had was at the Sarina hotel in QLD on the way to Mt Isa many years ago Second biggest steak was at the Grand Hotel in Huonville, TAS Most pubs do brilliant chicken parmies but their idea of surf'n'turfs leave a lot to be desired
Twenty years ago I would have said any of the 6 pubs a mate owned on the Sunshine Coast if in QLD including The Royal Mail at Tewantin /Deception bay taven. In Vic....... Pub at Milawa Metung pub Mitta Mitta pub.
OLIO. Pretentious git! There are several pubs in the Adelaide Hills serving very decent meals, including the Crafers Hotel and the Inglewood Inn.
I've noticed that the further West you go out of Brisbane, the bigger the steaks are in the counter lunches. The pub in Roma was the biggest - T-Bone took up the whole plate, with veggies tucked underneath.
No it's not, I don't prescribe to the "live each day like it's your last" theory Otherwise there would be anarchy ............ hmm, not a bad idea
