I treasure this photo: I wonder how many current owners of new Phantom/Ghost Rolls-Royce motorcars would take there NEW Rolls-Royce to Coober Pedy ? Let alone bring home a tandem caravan they had financed and then repossessed! Would have been a tough old town then . C1961 Silver Cloud 11. I went to Lightning Ridge twice in the late 70s ..slept in a Melbourne tram converted into a motel From memory a general store and a pub,a tought town then , I'm told now just another town . Always enjoy staying at The Hyatt Canberra . Locked and loaded for another stay,,Might stalk a certain MOD..just saying .. The photo! This W.O Bentley is a Super Sports, meaning she is super rare one of seventeen built on a short chassis and guaranteed to do a 100mph in 1925. This car was sold new into Australia and the photo is her parked in 1926 out the front of the Canberra Grand Hyatt at the completion of that years Alpine rally. This car now is back in Melbourne .. Super rare and super valuable .. Image Unavailable, Please Login
