Not for us ....Surf Clubs and RSLs on the SSC ,pokie machine ,old people with leather skin ...NO THANK YOU..and then the wildcard ........Morrettiii
It's one of my favourite spots. I'm not as old as you boys, but most years we would holiday in the Caravan park at Munna Point when we were kids. I remember they were just starting the canal estates, my uncle used to stay at the park at the end of Hastings. I continued going their as a teen and young adult with all the boys and now take my kids (although we skip the caravan park). They love it as much as I do and hopefully their kids will one day too!!
Lets not forget the National Park walks ..on the whole people who bag Noosa are ...would like to live there but don't have the coin or remember the 80s with all the fallen crooks from Melbourne who went up there with there blonde wives ..
Yes there are always exceptions, but that's the same for pubs, or anywhere for that matter. I remember having a good feed at Maroochydore SC too. Hey Karen you might know this after Rob mentioned pokies in clubs. I can't remember seeing any pokies at Noosa SC. There were some tv's in the back corner with some old boys watching the gg's, but I can't remember seeing any there, which would be unusual in this day and age!
I don’t see Whom’s posts so don’t know what was said; don’t know about Noosa, we do have pokies at Coolum - really big bine of contention. No need for them as our bar and restaurant makes shedloads of money but the money the supporters club make, the more people find to spend money on... Had lunch at Maroochydore SC a couple of weeks ago (when Horse spied my shiny 308 in the parking lot) and I had to send it back twice as luke warm (way below the safe holding temperature).
Lol, he probably wouldn’t make it past the first lookout; unless of course he’s desperate to get over to Alex Bay to meet Carl, you or any other of the whomos on here!
OLIO..The Whomo would sprint the national park in under 10 seconds..Quicker than a cobra on the Quarter mile..
Ask it,as I have her on ignore ,what is the kms of the various walks in the Noosa Park ,as Amanda and I have done several ...one was longer then the other but there an easy walk for us compared to some of the other walks we have done over the years ,perhaps the best being the 12 km one at the Freycinet Park in Tassie..
The canal estates are basically drainage ditches; Noosa didn’t enforce sewerage systems until the late 90s... there are still thousands of old septic trenches discharging in the Noosa River. DO NOT swim at Noosa main beach after rain. Only good things in Noosa these days are the National Park and Massimo’s gelati! Some OK restaurants, but actually better ones at the Junction or along the river towards Tewantin.
Oh Jeezus Karen! ..So why do people pay so much to live there?..That’s disgusting …Must be Blind Mullet Groupies that live there..
