No way! Actually some of the Coolum swimmers went up to Noosa last week and all came back complaining of skin irritations.
Around the point, or maybe even the bays a bit further along but NOT the main beach unless it hasn’t rained for weeks.

 

Not an issue ,I've often walked to the MCG from Kew for an AFL Game ..I swim 2kms everyday long walks have NEVER been an issue for me ..

 

Few of them ever set foot on the beach, much less in the water... most spend the day parading up and down Hastings St or sitting in coffee shops/bars/ restaurants. Walking in the national park, the majority (in normal times) are international tourists ; Japanese folk seem to be amazingly adept at spotting koalas!
The council actually did a survey some years ago and IIRC only something like 25% of residents had visited the beach in the past year.

 

Were they “ browner” than usual?..

 

Righto ..Why would I disconnect the speedo on a 45 year old car that has done 100,000s of documented miles as per its service books ?

The cable gear broke on the trip to Canberra around the turn off onto the Midland hwy towards the Hume Freeway ..hence why I only took photos of the tacho when I did the max speed run,logic would tell you I'd taske a photo of the speedo YES?

The plan was to better my fathers top speed run in a Silver Cloud 111 as per this photo many years ago on a trip to SP QLD end of rumours ..TA.

Reminds me of the time 30 years ago when we stayed at a property my sister owned (one with the tower in Brighton ..you know the one)
Anyway we get to Coolum beach,i look at my wife and say "right so what do we do now?
Just another village along the coast line .....we left after 2 days and went to another village ..

We are not big fans of Maroochydore Surf club, very hit and miss and the place should have a big outdoor deck. Its nice and close but could be much, much better.

I googled a few articles, apparently when it rains it washes down the headland picks up all the animal waste and exits through the storm water!
