    If I never go into another surf club again I’ll be very happy.

    My dear old dad and his wife used to drag us to them endlessly. Hated the places.

    Too many people, mostly old. Very average food. Rubbish too loud live singing or bad music blaring through speakers.

    And the weirdest bit is having to sign in and show ID documents just to walk in the door. WTF is that?
    It’s easier and quicker going through customs than getting in to some of these dives.

    Must be a QLD thing. Thankfully we don’t have them here.

    Haha! Watching oldies dance to terrible music while eating a bad meal isn’t my idea of a great time… :p

    Well, of course we have surf lifesaving clubs, but they’re nothing like the ones in QLD.

    Going to “the club” regularly (whether surf or RSL) seems to be a uniquely east coast thing.

    Our surf clubs are mostly brilliant, only a grumpy old man would suggest differently :p

    AND, our clubs are better because we have better clientele :D
