The future owners of these should worry less about the looks and more about the amount of trackpads they are going to have to swipe.

Ultimately, the issue here is not the shape so much as it’s an SUV. Ferrari decided they needed and SUV in the line-up and unfortunately it will not look like a 458, Pista, etc. And this will probably not matter to buyers of this car, err, truck.

I agree this is a core problem. I also feel it perhaps could have been done better.

I think the Aston is actually a very colour-dependent design…not classically beautiful, it tries too hard to look like an Aston…The Urus is truly vulgar

I am sure they are going ballistic and are working to determine who took the pic.

SUVs in Europe aren't nearly as popular as they are in the US. Wagons or shooting brakes is another story.

I'll reserve judgement, but I'm not initially impressed.

Suicide doors is slang, by the way, the traditional name for them in English is coach doors.

So true . Still don’t get why it’s on the v8 line (if that is indeed the case with the sf90 in the background. Unless the sf90’s are being built on the v12 line.

Keep in mind it might not be a camera from something like a cell phone. I doubt they let anyone near that car without checking for cellphones. It may have been a much lower quality and discrete camera

Don’t forget that while this is the V12 forum, the PS is also expected to be available with a smaller capacity engine (V8 T or V6 hybrid?)

absolutely but rumors have been this will launch as a v12 and carry a pretty hefty list price….with smaller engines to follow, I could be overthinking but interesting to see line and possible implications.

That’s a completely different statement to saying “an SUV in Europe or China will be in very low demand.”

I think this Puro tries too hard to look like a Ferrari, about the same as the Aston.

Picture probably from some type of “spy” camera- low res but easily hidden.
The rear at least is not as busy as the SF90. I wonder if the diffuser is functional or just for show.
Side view-those dark clads on the fenders make the wheels look too small.
Front- I’m not a fan of the SF90 style lights and otherwise the front looks like any other brand of SUV.
I think Ferrari has done a disservice to the brand making it look too much like every other high end SUV out there. Kudos to MB for the G- it looks different and is proud of it. Same for Jeep Wrangler, Ford Bronco, Defender. All true SUVs not the crossovers we are comparing the Ferrari to. If Ferrari wants to do a SUV/crossover- they should think out of the box- be daring and push the design performance and functionality parameters- they would recoup the costs in what they charge us.
Instead we have a tarted up warmed over croissant.

Terrifying but I feel relieved, at least I won´t have to reluctantly admit that I like it despite I hate SUVs. Also as they plan to price it as a V12 I won´t have to see it everyday like the Cayenne.

BTW, Ferrari will need to reinforce its security, it´s the second leak in two weeks after the one of the F1 car.

    Thank you Marcel.

Do you believe this leak will impact Ferrari's press package and unveil of the car?

Do we know if the source of pictures is an employee or external?

I had heard the car would be shown privately during the cavalcade. Even though it's pretty much a given we will see the 296 Spider before this unveil, December seems an awfully distant date considering only people living under a rock haven't seen the leak.

I think Ferrari is now evaluating what to do and will probably reconsider all the unveiling process and timing. It looks the picture was taken by a very small concealed spy camera: Ferrari security checks are usually quite severe with everyone, so this leak must be something well prepared by "the spy" and not only a stupid worker who sent a picture to a traitor friend.

    Ciao
