    I haven’t commented in this thread as I didn’t know Ray, but it shows how much he was loved by you all by your determination to give him an amazing send off. You are a great bunch of people. I can imagine their will be a sea of Ferrari’s.

    Not a sea of Ferraris, unfortunately, probably due to the actual sea that was falling out of the sky. Ferrari drivers are such pu55ies these days. The two oldest Ferraris there (my QV and Kerrari's carbed 308) also drove the furthest, but Karen gets the gong by about 40km.

    To paraphrase some old bloke”it was the best of times, it was the worst of times”... a truly appalling weather day, terrifying drive in the 308 (I nearly piked when it took an hour to cover the first 20km) and unfortunately many people could not get there... BUT a wonderful gathering, lots of great photo memories, the recessional music was “Ferrari v12 music” and the suitably decorated coffin was lowered with model Ferrari positioned around the Lakeside track painted on the lid (I’m assured that all held their position as the casket was lowered!
    Gratifying to hear greetings from Len Watson (RedLenon Fchat) in England; Mike R from Canberra and many others; and special kudos to FCA past president Trevor McPherson for flying up for the day.
    Vale Ray, you won’t be forgotten
