    Oh

But once you're going the difference would be inconsequential.

You just chance gears at a different speed.

    How many rpm at 100kph?

The difference through the power band would be HUGE 3 speed to a 5 speed add the ratios .....little wonder Klink was scratching his balls ..

OK, so I’ve done some research - the ‘company’ is searching out contacts for its ‘sign up for discounts’ marketing scheme, as well as doing the giveaways.

The guy who runs Classics for a Cause (Thomas Bailey) also runs a company called Veteran Benefits Australia which provides help services to Veterans ‘free if they have a DVA card’ so I guess a bit like a NDIA provider.
The registered address for one of the charities listed (Salute for Service) is the same address as CfC.

However, I did call one of the charities they claimed to have donated a large sum to, and the guy there confirmed they HAD received a large donation. He also, unprompted, told me of one other group who has received a large donation. These 2 together add up to about 2/3 of the claimed total donated.

Here’s a review page on the giveaways: https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/classics-for-a-cause-lottery

Bottom line: I think it’s a clever setup business where the donations are tax deductions and there’s no need to publicly disclose any of the financials. If you want to ‘win’ a car, maybe some vet will get a bit of help down the line, but if you really want to donate to vets, do it directly and avoid the skim. I wouldn’t touch it because I think he’s using vets like old fashioned beggars used injured children... just my opinion of course.

I wasn't taking a huge amount of notice due to not having driven it after the first 41klm then swapping to the Morgan.
By the time I was in it the diff was noisy and I had other things on my mind.
It certainly doesn't perform as it should, therefore was misrepresented by the dealer.

Everyone at the dealer, starting with the procurer knows how they drive and knew of the diff swap.....they just didn't tell me...

I don't believe you'd notice the difference once moving. I'm too lazy to type why, but it's based on experience fwiw.

Be interesting to know the various ratios of the GM400 Ferrari fitted to the 400 series cars ,I suspect it would have had the nromal HUGE difference between 2/3 as all other GM400s have ..

Perhaps just as well the diff let go before Simon had the opportunity to give it "A Go" the difference would have been extreme between his old car and this car with the 400 diff ratio.

I'm sure it's not simple, but it's not that complex either.

I had different overall gearing in my BB at times, and I know very well what difference that made to everything. SFA in the real world.

Gear ratios /diff ratios make a huge difference ,when I had the two Group NC Mustang I had 3 different diff ratios ,boy did I notice the difference even in a car with a weight of about 1,350 kilos 440 pounds torque and 535 bhp...

Rob is correct, the 365 would be a slug with that gearing. 1st gear would be taller than 2nd should be and the wide ratio gap between 2nd and 3rd would be even more noticeable. 4th would be taller than 5th, the car would take longer to wind up and wouldn't pull anywhere near redline in top.

ok.... So Simon is accelerating in 2nd,for example, meanwhile the other bloke with the right diff changed to 3rd well before Simon does.... WTF do you think happens then? I'll tell you what happens.... Simon keeps accelerating straight past the other guy!

Seriously, you guys are just so desperate for me to be wrong that you can't think straight!

We're talking road, not track, right?
