Stupid post. I stated a fact and people have been arguing with ME....not the other way around. I'll say it again....I did the experiment. Not one person commenting, so far, has done that.
Actually, my brother in law and I each bought a 450 SLC around the same time in the early 90s. Mine was Aussie Delivered, his South Africa delivery. His car was always incredibly quick off the line and we could never work out why until we had them at the same mechanic and up on a hoist. The diff was a different ratio. So there you go, it was basically a double blinded randomised controlled trial . So nyer
So is the problem just the ratio or is it more than that? If just the ratio, I still doubt it's a problem. Did I mention I've compared?

That’s what I thought too, but we eliminated any inter observer variability by getting the mechanic to have a go
