Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login I bought this Porto as a DD and let me say it’s a great driving machine . Having never driven one it’s quite quick and In sport mode it sounds better than my F8 spider by a long shot. She’s a 2019 with 5500 miles and has 1.5 years left on the original factory Ferrari warranty. This car is a sleeper in my opinion. All I can say is wow it’s impressive.
Nice! Congrats … need more pics … would love to see that aluminum tach Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Beautiful - The Portofino is such an overlooked car because of it's positioning in the line up. Genuinely a great looking machine! Congrats Kirk.
Not sure what your community is like but where I like in So CA parking is always an issue even being careful where you park. Just next week I am taking my Pano in for some parking lot refurbishments. It would bother using my Fcar as a DD in my area.
I was originally going replace my SL 63 with the new 63 but my dealer decided to get cute with the old “ we are going to sell it to you over sticker “ Bs. Really ? I looked at the Cali T. Then I saw this car come up for sale and it was my color with a ton of options. And no I’ve never driven a Porto until this arrived. So here we are ….
Interesting that some dealers are really jacking up MSRP prices while others are still selling cars at MSRP. Several months ago, 5/2021 I special ordered a 992 TS @ MSRP, my dealer honored the price when it was delivered but I was told that they were currently only taking orders at MSRP + $50k on that model and on all GT3s. Glad my dealer honored the original deal but have concerns about my future dealings and I have bought 5 cars from them, 3 new cars and 2 pre owned cars.
Vic , I’m so impressed with it and the sound in sport mode is fantastic. Go drive one and I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I know I was. This is my first front engine F car.
Great choice and looks to be a nice spec. Congratulations! I’m in similar situation as you. I ordered the Porto M 17 months ago and should have the car in 30 days! About a year ago I inquired about the new SL with my longtime sales rep of over 20 years at Mercedes in North San Diego. I just received a call from her yesterday telling me she had a spot available but would be $75k over sticker since no cars available! Thank God I ordered the Porto back then and have no need for an SL. The Porto is getting great reviews. More car than people expect. I also had a 13 Cali 30 that the wife and I had for 3 years and 20k miles and great memories made. She was also Extremely reliable.
Congrats, great car with lots of carbon fiber and Magneride, that's what I looked for in my Cali T. I will buy a Portofino if they ever drop below $200K again...
We went to a dealer event and my wife walked in and was immediately drawn to the Portofino. Asking questions about it, kept circling back to it. Which surprised me because she's usually ambivalent about cars.
Congrats ! love the color , I had a Cali T in titanio. Like I said in other post I wasn't a fan of the new SL , I prefer the hard top convertible so there you go , I think your smile will be larger when you are in it.
Not only a lot of carbon fiber but a DVD system, I never heard of that option. And why would anyone ever order such a thing? I don’t think the Porto’s are selling like hotcakes so now actually maybe a decent time to make an offer if you really want one. Who knows what the future holds ? No time like the present. Best, Kirk
Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Silver versus white. The difference is definitely subtle. But @Cigarzman I think you’ve still got silver. Seems like if your tach is silver you have white numbers, and if it’s a white tach you have grey numbers.
The sad part about the SL fiasco is that over the last 35 yrs I’ve purchased at least 23 new Mercedes ( mostly SL ) cars from this dealership. Maybe more, because that would include mine and 2 ex wives as well. They seem to forget when times were s**tty and I was still buying cars and now it’s a different time so let’s hose our good customers. I’ve never ever flipped one of the cars either and I easily could have. So much for customer loyalty.
I would speak to the GM of the Mercedes Dealership and let them know you've purchased your last car from them. Likely they would care less, but I think it's important to let them know. I'd also contact MBUSA and let them know what the dealership proposed to you and your history of buying cars from them. If we as consumers say nothing about it, the practice will just continue. Vote with your wallet. There are many dealers that I will never do business with again.
