There’s a thread on the 458/488/F8 forum stating that Apple CarPlay is now being included free on yet-to-be-built F8’s. Anyone hear that the same might be true for yet-to-be-built GTS’s? I’ll check with my salesman this weekend.

Was added to my TM spec (?automatically) which is 20 or later now. I suspect it is now as with the F8 standard with the price increase.

Will ask as well. We often know (or care) before the sales team.

My salesman confirmed to me this morning that Apple CarPlay is standard for the GTS now. I didn’t ask about base price increase (from $404,294), but I think we all know the answer to that one

I also confirmed that it's "free" on the GTS now (with base price increase). Perhaps I should say "standard" rather than "free". Ha.

This is actually a little crazy. Happy for all that benefit but this has been a relatively expensive option considering what it is. I paid thousands for every f car I bought since it has been available. I guess it’s six one way half dozen on the other if the base price more than offsets but annual increases are the norm too. With all that said, this makes total sense when you think about the current leadership at F…it’s all about tech and I am sure it was frustrating when customers wouldn’t option it. Times are a changing.

Love the FREE part. I remember building one of my first cars and the standard wheels were like 3k and the optional ones were 6k (numbers may be way off) and I said the gm, what wheels are free with the car? He is actually a good buddy now but he couldn’t get his head around the question. I was tempted (not really) to not select no option and see if the car showed up without wheels. How are wheels, in their entirety, an option? I also remember having a similar conversation with a Porsche dealer about floor mats in 911…one scenario has much larger implications.

What are the chances of a dealer retro-fitting Carplay on a GTS for free? Probably not...?!

So, I chose not to get CarPlay because I use Android and was hoping for a solution that would come out with AndroidAuto in the interim of my order and build. My build however is completed last week. I'm curious now to find out if CarPlay is included in my build. Does anyone have any insight on the date this became "Included"? I was informed of a price increase of about 3k from the time I spec'd the car and the time my deposit was due. Wonder if that that was the cause, or if it was just par for the course. My dealer claimed it was normal and that they could increase the price again before I even get it, but it's unlikley considering I was already given one.
I'm in status 85 now, with no photos and no indication of when I'll see it. :(

I would be interested to hear but I am guessing a hard no since they did raise the base price to include for free. It was pretty crazy what they were charging for it.

I have been wondering how did you (and many owners here) know your current status?? Does MyFerrari app or Web site come to show up the status as the things move forward? Or does your sales rep simply tell you? I have just noticed a VIN has been assigned to my GTS order in the app/Web Browser and that's all I have.

I am guessing the choice as to what options to be included as 'standard' is totally up to each Geo's Ferrari. For an example, when I specced my GTS here in Japan, I came to know PDIS, SNDB, AFS2, HELE, ELEV, LOGO, etc are standard but I believe some of these are not standard in other Geo.
I will ask my dealer if around 10K$ price increase that Ferrari Japan made for 812GTS will be applied to my order and it comes with ACPL(Apple Car play) in return, but I guess it is unlikely to get ACPL included in my order while it is very likely to get the price increase applied to my order lol .

Just asked my dealer if ACPL became a part of standard options along with the price increase and they told me YES. (As the price increase will not be applied to my GTS order, my GTS will not have ACPL as I did not spec it, ha ha). Please note this is in case of Japan market and I have totally no ideas as to whether or not it applies to other Geos as well.
