Even though I am not a fan of SUVs, I love those old Rangie's. I have a soft spot for them because of old "Betsy Lou" that we had on the island.
That's my favourite generation - whatever the mid 80s ones were.

You should sell your Macan and buy one of those. Much more class and no black wheels... :p

Why not? Whom cares what the temp is, there's cricket on the telly and one should pour a drink for Marshy whilst watching. :)

(although if I was doing it properly I'd probably be sculling a can of beer)

If he's just ordered he'll be waiting a while - end of 2023 I'm told.

The only options are: if you buy the V6 you can choose manual or automatic.

If you order the AMG engined 4 cylinder you can have a paddle-shift DCT.

Shame, because obviously the perfect spec is the V6 with paddle-shift DCT.

Yeah it's the engine from the A45S but rated at 360hp.

Feeling on the street is that ultimately that will be the version to have as can easily go to 450hp+ and is lighter plus having the better gearbox.

But yule be waiting a while to get one.

In the meantime the First Edition supercharged V6 with manual box will, IMO at least, become known as one of the last classic old school cars and looks beautiful to boot.

I was lucky enough to secure one of those. #86 out of 110 coming to Oz.

I know we've discussed this before, but 360hp is a massive detune. I hope it's not true.

It is true according to the dealer and Lotus themselves.
The i4 will sit below the V6 in the lineup so cannot be more powerful from the factory, obviously.

However, as you know it is easy to get a lot more out of that engine so ultimately that will probably be the faster car.

If you think about it, it could be a performance bargain. Lighter, faster, and cheaper.

Given the choice, for sure. However, if V6 and proper modern flappy paddle was an option I would have picked that.

Down the track if a convertible option comes up (Lotus have said it won’t, but I bet it will), I’ll be first in line as long as it’s not a soft top.
I reckon the design would be stunning as a convertible.
