If anything, this tells me I can go put some miles on the car and not worry about it detrimentally affecting the value.

Unless your car is sub-5k miles...or even sub 5-10k miles, mileage doesn't really matter unless you're daily driving it or something.

I put like 500km on each of my cars at most per year. Free time doesn't allow for much more than that. I don't stop to think about mileage for a second. I don't like owning cars that are mileage sensitive either.

I’m hoping to average 2-3,000ish smiles per year :)

This should give us a fair gauge of buyers in the market (And one of my complaints about BaT from a seller's point of view)

    https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1996-ferrari-f355-berlinetta/

The red '95 is more desirable from my POV, but the Grigio '96 is in significantly better condition and still a REALLY nice example. Both on BaT at the same time. So debatably the same crowd of buyers.

    95 vs 96 = marginal win to 95
Red vs Silver = Tossup, but Resale Red is a F-car's best friend outside of the collector's circle.
GTS vs GTB = I like the GTS, but I'll give that a tie.
    BOTH Manual

30k vs 75k = both drivers. In this case I'll take the lower mileage example.

BUT, I think the 95 is just about the perfect spec. Purely based on emotion, THAT is the one I would bid on if my hat were in the ring. But for all the reasons Tarek listed above, I think the 96 is a "better buy." I'm interested to see where they both finish. I think the 95 has already approached "too much money for the condition." But if the #2 bidder on the 95 is reasonable, he'll get a great consolation prize (and I'm guessing a significantly lower maintenance bill).

He was predicting this 2 years ago, but gor out before it happened. The market was doing an occasional flirt with a high price only to not sustain. Pretty consistent now, poor spiders though I actually like them better visually.

It's still not 993 mania level yet except for a few outliers, but even that has calmed down a bit.

Spiders are ticking up nicely these days. Slowly climbing the water spout. Nice ones at dealers are $100k to $120k ask. I can't complain being I paid under $50k for mine. Now I just have to get rid of the Cayman. PDK and roof suck. Back to a manual Boxster.

Those paint meter readings on the silver GTB are too thick to be original paint, no? I have a silver GTB as well, and the readings on my car are half as thick.

The 96 should be 150k USD IMO but the colour combo doesn't appeal to as many people as the Rosso GTS. Wouldn't be surprised if they both sell for similar money.

You are literally the ONLY person I have ever heard disparage the PDK. I didn't believe the hype until I drove a PDK equipped GT3 last year.

That said, a manual 4.0 Boxter GTS will scratch a lot of itches!

It's not a bad setup. As a matter of fact, it's very good. Just boring for me and my use.

Yes, very thick. The hood on my car was "refreshed" by Ferrari before the second owner bought it, according to the records, and even it reads 12-16 max. The rest of my car is pretty much single digits.

How much alcantara do you want?

    -All of it!

.......wait, no. All of it except the most destroyed part of the interior. Yes, keep the airbag cover original.

This is so cool. I grew up watching Tim Allen and Home Improvement. I didn't know he had a F355 but it makes sense. I know he had a 550 Maranello and a 330 (can't remember which one exactly).

This car looks SO good in silver. Tim has taste. The only thing I don't like is the instrument cluster stitching being red and not matching anything else in the car. No doubt a replacement.

Silver 355 would look good with red, tan, or cuoio interior.

@carnutdallas owns a bodyshop. Don't think he's too worried about paint work :). Both BAT cars would be easy work for him.

I looked at comps. These cars are getting too high - I figure I might as well see what happens though. 75k mile car is too much - the GTS spec helping. I love simplicity of no key fob on 95, but prefer 5.2 sound. This car has all the fobs and I would send to Gobble just to be safe. But I doubt I get it. Counting my eggs way before they hatch, but working some deals.

    Prefer 5.2 sound?

So there's something about the bat 95 GTS that is making me feel like I'm familiar with it. Maybe the car, maybe the plates, I don't know. Could be confusing it with another car, but if it's the one I'm thinking of, it had embroidered cavillino's on the head rests at some point.
