That BMW powered car i has was rock solid in 17 odd years of ownership,never burnt any oil or leaks . From memory these items were replaced ..sports shift mode, ignition lock, drivers door lock and the water expansion tank..Not bad going for a car that was driven hard and towed plenty in its 1st 3 years .
I too have had a bunch of these including a suffix B. This is an example of what sometimes annoys me greatly: no Rangie ever rolled out of either Solihull or Moorebank in this condition - the fit and finish was rubbish. They are offering something that never existed. For that money I would have your 365, dodgy diff and all, every day. John
Yeah if I ever got another one it would be the one immediately after the one I had, so probably ‘86-89ish? (Mine was ‘84). The was another home owner on Thistle whom had one and it looked pretty much the same as mine outside but had a nicer more comfortable interior. Once they got into the 90s too much unreliable electric crap as you say.
