I'm not uber familiar with Ferrari's nomenclature. What is thier burgundy interior (vs the "lipstick/bright red") called? I generally dislike red interiors, but I've seen a few Ferrari and Mercedes reds that looked really fantastic!
Silver with colored interiors don’t show up often. I save pics whenever I get the chance. Silver shows the lines of the car well although the color might not pop. It’s like have a Porsche and Ferrari at the same time . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here’s one with Cuoio interior. https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/23977/lot/34/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think that's tobacco and not tan? Would love to know. Beautiful color. Sent from my Pixel 5a using Tapatalk
I missed out on a silver/bordeau '99 GTB F1 with 14K miles right before I bought mine. This was fall of 2020. It sold for $69,500 and was perfect. Heartbreaker.
Fitted with the desirable gated manual transmission *Exciting silver over cuoio livery *Elegant and timeless 'no-frills' Pininfarina design *One of the best sounding Ferraris of the modern era
Silver/black with carbon sport seats and FHP. That’s all I got on silver 355s. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

What do you folks in the know think this might be worth? 98 F355 GTB. Silver over tan, gated. Around 18k miles. Salvage title. Not currently, but soon to have an excellent paint job, and all deferred maintenance done including stuff that often gets overlooked like suspension bushings, engine and gearbox mounts, everything pretty and functioning properly. Some mods (Tubi, JRZ coilovers, challenge grill, factory embossed fenders, etc). Let's say after alls said and done.. any idea?
Why the salvage title? That will determine its value more than anything (i.e. did it once look like a crumpled up ball of aluminum foil)
Far as I can tell, hit in the rear passenger quarter. Looks passable now in primer and good underneath in the wheelwell but we'll see when I get the bondo and undercoat off of it. If it can't be saved I'll be replacing with a factory part off another car (yes I know what I'm in for ) Not putting good paint over a bad body. Also forgot to say I'm not concerened what it's worth as I'm never going to sell. Always wanted a 355 and this is how I've decided to get into one.. leveraging my skillset. So let rip with any estimates
I was also going to comment why it was totaled can play a huge difference. There is one of those lambo SUvs on copart right now with 9k on it that was totaled due to a cracked windshield, "parts availability". I've seen a pristine 2k miles c7 z06 totaled because of a 1'' hole in the floor board because it was not replaceable part. Ive also seen completely mangled cars that should never be rebuilt put back together. I would buy a salvage, but only after seeing before pictures, and a honest description of the repair. Obviously its worth less, but the value is determined by demand. The cool thing about the 355 is you can see the entire quarters from the inside, you'll know how it was repaired. With the current market, assuming correctly repaired.... jeezz i bet it would fetch 100+ and BaT. crazy times lol
Regarding the Red GTS on BaT, if a private seller who hasn't done the service in years is claiming its "original paint" id want to see paint readings..private sellers can be very vague & dismissive of condition and there is no recourse..also no up close pics of important areas like the buttress..I'm happy to see a GTS w these miles and condition so up in price, but realistically i would want someone to lay eyes on the car first if was to bid..this is why BaT especially private seller sales can be very risky and have to be taken with a grain of salt, but then you get everyone trying to pile in and they think thats what their car is now worth... Whoever buys this i'd like to see a review from them after they see the car in the flesh (if they haven't already seen it or had it inspected)
Where is the thread from last year on the fellow who replaced the left rear quarter on his 355, I can't find it. The result of that repair was over the top and I wouldn't hesitate on second to have that car in my garage salvage title or not.
That BaT GTS manual is up to $118k with 75k miles and last belt service 22 years ago! What else was neglected? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I felt I knew the market. Life gets in the way and my grand ambitions as well as responsibilities dictate my car desires my than my wallet can absorb. I knew these cars were heading to Dino money. I told many people that. I enjoyed some profits, but really wanted to grow old with a car - preferably a 355. Something I am failing to do, LOL. Very surprised by the 75k GTS pricing. But a rising tide lifts all boats, even the ones barely floating. I think this is a great car. Not worried about belts or miles. Really could care less. Just thought it was more of a bargain and not this wild climb. But Dino money just seems to happen overnight. I am a pretty good car guy. Not great, but do pretty well. Have enjoyed a lot of cars and more than most will ever imagine. I would say a lot of us on here are like that. But A few of you have had your cars for decades and I envy that. Not green eyed envy, but old car guy envy. Told my wife last night, I really miss having a Ferrari in the garage. Totally unnecessary, but sure is a guilty pleasure. I hate to buy in at $200k. But that may be a reality or stupidity. Live looking forward, not in the past. Cheers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
